Once upon a time, there was a handsome man who cherished his wife and treasured his daughter. They had the best of times together and shared the happiest of moments. Their life was full of perfection, but all too soon did the darkness creep in through the cracks. The man's wife fell gravely ill and after some time, death came knocking. It left the man grief-stricken, with only his daughter left to love. He vowed to never love another, but love is just one of those things that has a mind of its own. He eventually remarried to another, to give his daughter the chance to grow up with a proper mother again. But the darkness is always around, waiting for the right time to pounce and claim it's prize. So once again and all too soon did death claim another, leaving the little girl without a father, and pushed into the hands of her malicious step-mother and her children. What the orphaned child didn't realise as she grew up was that she was special. Very Special.
