A loud gun shot sounded, it was like my whole life flashed before my eyes, everything I had done wrong or could have done better. I held my breath waiting for the sharp pain of the bullet through my skin.. but I didn't, instead I felt the sharp pain of my body being slammed into the floor. I felt the weight of someone on top of me and groaned as I opened my eyes to see Trouble

His beautiful brown eyes staring into mine, he held me to the floor, catching his breath slightly as I looked around at everyone staring at me.
'He just pushed me out the way of a bullet.. he just saved my life..' I thought to myself as I tried to wrap my head around what just happened.

"You.. you saved me.." I stuttered quietly looking up at him as he pinned my arms down. He took one more glance into my eyes before standing up quickly and brushing himself off. I sat up slowly and shakily. I watched as he walked away as if nothing had happened, leaving me confused.

on the way home, all I could think about was Trouble. the way he went of his way to save me when a few hours before hand he had told me he hated me. I had grass seeds in my hair and dirt across my face but to be honest, i really couldn't care less.

I made my way through the front door, grass stains on my white shirt and my hair messed up.
"How was Sch- What happened to you?!" Mum gasped as she ran towards me with her arms out wide and took my into a tight hug. I laughed quietly
"I just tripped on the way to the parking lot.. I'm fine"
"are you sure..?" Mum frowned as she picked some grass from my hair.
"I'm fine.. I promise" she let out a huge sigh before licking her thumb and whipping it along my face to clean the dirt off.

I pushed her away slowly and screwed up my face
"Gross mum.." she giggled before giving a gentle push towards the stairs
"go get cleaned up.. you look like a mess!" I shook me head and laughed before making my way up the stairs and into the bathroom where I quickly removed my cloths and looked down my body.

I could see a large bruise forming on my left hip from the fall to the ground when trouble pushed me out the way of the bullet. I ran my fingers across it lightly and let out a rather large sigh from my pursed lips. as I stood in the shower with the water running down my spine I shut my eyes thinking about the eventful evening I was having.

'If he hates me.. then why did he save my life?' I thought to myself as the warm water washed away the soap suds
'If I hate him so much.. why did I have the urge to kiss him?' I shook my head and turned off the water, quickly wrapping a towel around me. I dried off and soon the towel was replaced with a singlet top and a pair of flannelet pyjama pants.

"There's my beautiful daughter" dad said proudly with a large grin along his face as I praced down the stairs, He was always so proud of me, I always got the good grades and he knew that when I got a little older I would get a good job.
"How was work?" I asked as I moved my wet hair over to another shoulder.

He groaned and sat down onto the sofa
"So i'm guessing it was good..?" I said sarcastically, walking over and sitting across him.
"It was wonderful, my boss is such a nice man" He replied also sarcastically. we both laughed.
"How was school, your mother said you had dirt all over you!" I laughed loudly
"I tripped in the mud on the way to my car, I'm fine, seriously, you guys just worry too much" Dad watched me as I stood up for his lap and stretched out, chuckling slightly.

The phone began ringing, Mum, Dad and I just stood there looking at each other for a second with the 'Who's going to answer it' face on. Mum finally made a move and answered
"Hell- oh hello, oh yes she's here do you want me to get her for you.. okay" she put the phone to her chest and looked over at me
"It's Jess.." I quickly ran over, snatching the phone from her hands and racing up to my room where I threw myself across the bed.

"What's up?" I said into the phone
"OH MY GOD YOU ALMOST GOT SHOT!" she screamed making me hold the phone about an inch away from my ear.
"yeah.. wait- how'd you-"
"Facebook" I facepalmed
"you wrote it up there..?
"Lizzie.." I groaned rolling onto my back. I knew that the word had been passed around and it would be like a game of Chinese whispers, it would start off as the truth but then someone would add more onto it.

"what did you hear about it, I want to know what you think is the truth" she cleared her throat
"You got into a fight over a parking spot with some guy" I laughed loudly before telling her to continue.
"then you threatened to hit him and he pulled out a gun, then Trouble jumped out in front of you and caught the bullet between his teeth" I laughed loudly once again rolling off my bed.

"because that's believable"
"So you mean he didn't catch a bullet with his teeth?" I let out a large sigh and laughed.
"what actually happened then..?" she asked, curious.
"There were some guys fighting and I got in the way, next thing you know some grade 12 was pointing a gun at me, trouble came and tackled me to the ground and pushing me out the way.. I didn't get to thank him.. he got up and left too quickly"

after an hour or so of talking, Jess finally decided she was going to hang up. I lay back on my bed with my eyes on the ceiling going over the situation with the gun and trouble in my mind. I could of died.. I wouldn't be laying in this position right if Trouble wasn't there..

all I have to say is..

I owe him big time,
