Aaliyah's P.O.V

I woke up, blinking as the sun hit my face from the cave entrance, stretching as I looked around, seeing Star still asleep. I stood up and walked over to her and sat down next to her, petting her head gently. She opened her eyes sleepily.
"morning." I said calmly to her as her Dark blue eyes stared at me. She made one of her morning grunts as she opened her wings, stretching them. We both then stood up and got dressed. I put her armor on as she always wears it.
"just to be safe." I tell her as she sighs. she never seemed to mind it as it was very light and wasnt like a full body suit. As we walked outside, we saw little Terrible Terrors begin to wake up. Star gave me an annoyed look at having woken her up before the little dragons.
"I know, I know. You can be mad at me, But look how beautiful the day is!" I say in my 'exaggerated positive' voice. I got onto Star and we glided down to a river. We both got a quick sip of water and Star caught some trout.
"Thanks girl" I said as I started a campfire to cook the fish.

After eating our breakfast, Star and I launched into the sky for our morning flight. We zipped around the trees and sea stacks, testing our speed and agility. We practiced a few tricks and our aim. Star loved to do her camouflage trick where she'd fire a blast and fly through it, her scales matching her surroundings as she looked to disappear then reappear. I remember the first day we found out she could do that, we changed up her armor and saddle to disappear with her. So it wouldnt blow her cover. As she shed her old scales, I would sew them into an armor. It wasnt the best but it worked. Blue and white with black stitching. I never understood how, but when Star would 'disappear' my own armor would disappear with her. As long as the scales made contact. I loved flying through the air with Star, we would fly as high up as we could and just fall back down. She'd catch a drift right before we would hit the water and flip over so we were just touching the surface. The smell of the ocean alone was so peaceful to me.
