Natsu's POV
Running away from battle was not my style, but for today, I think I'll let it go.
After having to witness Yoko's grandpa being ripped open like that and have her parents crawl out from his remains make me feel sick, even though I ain't even riding any transport.
Erza is currently by my side and I know one thing for sure, we're both totally lost. But we continue running, not saying a word to each other because of what we just witnessed. Probably scared that whatever we were served before would all come back right up if we open our mouths.
Happy is also by my side flying along as sweat pours down his face. The heavy atmosphere around us is silent, except for the louding panting and footsteps that seem to echo through the hallway we are runnign down. Suddenly, Happy flies ahead as I grit my teeth and try to catch up. However his flying speed is obviously beyond my running speed so I slow down after a while, allowing Erza to catch up.
"The front door is this way!!" shouted Happy, his voice ringing from my left ear as I turn around, Erza does the same thing as she was also about to head down the right side with me.
We run towards the light as we are greeted with a wave of fresh air that slaps us in the face. I give my tired legs a rest as I wipe sweaty face with my scarf. Gajeel, Lily, Lucy, Wendy and Carla are also here, in the garden. They look as though they only just arrived, due to the amount of oxygen they are breathing in and the beads of sweat that run down their faces.
"Where's Gray and Yoko?" asked Erza as she looks around.
Everyone's eyes widen as they realised who was the one being chased.
Yoko's POV
"N-n-n-no, WAIT!" shouted father.
Too late.
My eyes locked onto the helpless prey before me, as I ripped out his soul and consumed it whole. It's not like it was needed anyways. I watched as the body that floated before me go rigid, his eyes go blank and fell from the sky. His body splattering, a pool of crimson red, then nothing moved.
It was over.
A tinge of regret passed by my brain as I stared at the lifeless body before me, but I quickly brushed it away as the thought of this man wanting to kill me in the beginning rose up to the surface.
"You can come out now, its ok." I whispered.
Gray cautiously stepped out from behind a wall as he made his way across to me.
I wonder what he imagined me to be now. Someone scary? Someone that he would be frightened of? I don't know. I hope not.
I noticed he was shirtless once again as I couldn't help but blush a little.
Damn, why now.
"You ok? Did did you get hurt? You're red." said Gray.
The pink that resided on my cheeks only became darker after his comment.
"I'm fine." I replied quickly as I cleared my throat.
Was he always this hot?
"You sure?" he asked once again.
However this time, he caught my wrist as he pulled me back while I was trying to walk away, his hand clamping onto my forehead as he felt my temperature. I pushed him back as I felt my hands on his toned muscles. I once again flared red as I quickly turned around, hoping he wouldn't notice anything.
"Lets go. The others should be there by now." I commented as he agreed.
Lucy's POV
As soon as we wanted to seperate to go find Yoko and Gray, they suddenly appeared from around the corner. Yoko was looking quite flustered as Gray look completely fine.
