Prologue

Some memories are vague, others become weaknesses. Most are locked away never to be remembered again. Unfortunately for some, their memories are forced and beaten out of them, for the sake of their future. Numbing them from any emotion, they become cold, emotionless. Nothing to hold them back and showing no pitty, they become the perfect killers. Yet,  no matter how far those memories are erased,  they have a nasty habit of crawling back. When memories flood, so do emotions, making them vulnerable,  or even, hijack an important mission.

Clutching at his chest, the young man had to take in a sharp breath to calm down the unexplainable.  He hesitantly took a few steps toward the chained body against the wall. The chained man had his head low, all that could be heard were his slow, muffled breaths. Pulling the hood over his head, the young man began to walk foward.  The cracks of the stone walls allowed little moonlight to seep through,  illuminating the hooded man's body. The calming colors of his blue hoodie were nothing  compared to the few strands of snow white hair sticking out in odd angles. Unfortunately his hood casted a shadow on his face, nothing was visible but his pale white skin and the faint shadows of his nose and lips.

His hand slowly trailed itself toward his thigh to retrieve his dagger from it's holster. His orders were clear, "make it as painful as possible". The hooded man began closing off the distance,  dagger at hand, this target shouldn't be any harder to kill than the others. It was only when the chained man lifted his head, did the hooded assassin come to a stop. The chained victim's auburn hair fell right above his bright emerald eyes. His mouth and nose were covered by a face mask, but it didn't hide his freckles.  The hooded man found himself hypnotized,  staring into those eyes,  but sudden realization hit him. He looked down at his hand and clutched the dagger tighter. Taking in a shaky breath, a single tear slipped down the hodded man's hidden eyes, "orders are orders".
