The plane came to a smooth landing, though I felt as though I was going to be sick. We all grabbed our bags and of course, Miss Prissy Pants: Chelsea was first off to greet her "adoring fans". There was a red carpet at the foot of the plane and it lead all the way up the steps and into the castle. Cameras were filming our every little step and movement. There were metal gates and many commoners standing behind them cheering as we walked by.
"Evangeline! You're amazing; we all look up to you!" I heard a group of girls shout. A small girl about the age of five or six held a small book and a pen. She slipped out from under the gate and rushed over to me.
"Excuse me Miss Evangeline, but c-can I have you signature?" she asked quietly as some guards rushed forwards to try and grab her away from me. I gave them the wave of dismissal and they backed off from the two of us.
"Of course and what's your name?" I asked crouching down at the little girls' height, so I wasn't so tall and scary.
"It's Eva, Miss," the little girl replied. I took the pen she was handing me and began to write. 'Dear Eva, you are beautiful. No matter what people tell you, you always will be. So don't listen to them, listen to your heart and keep this safe. BEAUTIFUL, is you. You are BEAUTIFUL. But beautiful isn't only skin deep, you are beautiful inside and out. Love Evangeline' I handed Eva back her book. She took it gratefully and then smiled, a great big smile that reminded me so much of Anika. She quickly read over the note and then gave me a small hug. I returned it happily, but a small tear ran down my cheek reminding me of home, home. This is going to be a lot harder to forgive and forget than I thought.
"Now you'd better go back to your mother, I'm sure she's worried sick where you've been." I told her as she let go and nodded then ran off. I smiled to myself and continued to walk down the red carpet and up the steps.
We all followed Chelsea up the steps, and Izzy almost bumped into her when she stopped to give a large curtsy and big air kisses, to many of the people in the crowd who cheered louder. Once inside the castle, my jaw dropped; literally. The marble floors and crystal chandeliers were so delicately perfect. The four of us followed a butler to a room through a circular arch. He stopped before entering the room, which was labelled 'Women's Lounge'. So the four of filed in. To my surprise there were many girls already there and in chairs. There were many other people there, maids and such, which looked like there were stations for each girl to visit. This was like a transformation stage. There were numerous racks that held countless dresses, I was guessing a rack for each girl. There must have been at least two hundred dresses just in this room alone! A lady walked up to the four of us, she had striking red hair, tied up in a tight bun, jade green eyes and a dress shirt with a pencil skirt on her thin body.
"Hello girls, I am Miss Felicity Watters, but to you, and the rest of the girls I will be known as just Felicity. And I will be here to help and guide you on this journey, since it is not only to win the prince's heart, but to pass the clues and challenges to make sure you are fit to be Queen. Even if you are chosen by James, that doesn't mean that you are good enough to be Queen. Understood?" Felicity explained and asked we all nodded as she continued.
"Good, now there are four stages of transformation: hair, make-up, presentation, and dress. Hair, obviously we will be re-doing your hair, a cut, a colour change, whatever you decide or may be required. Make-up, also obvious, is one of our ladies over here will do your make-up, the way you want so, it's completely up to you. Presentation, in presentation, you will have me, asses you hair and make-up, if it's good you get the okay to go and change into your choice of day gown, we have also set out some evening gowns, but it is usually required to only wear them to dinner and at night. Otherwise you will wear a day gown. Great now that that is all explained, get to it!" she exclaimed as four ladies rushed over grabbed our arms and shoved us into seats.
