Eva, time to get up,” Ginger persisted as she gently shook me awake. My eyes fluttered open to the room around me. I had almost forgotten that I was in the palace. Joy and Jade helped me get out of bed and brought me into the bathroom where a warm bath was already ready. They washed my hair and body; I was too groggy and tried to restrain them from doing so. After I wrapped myself in a towel while Jade went to get a dress and joy led me to the make-up counter.

“So I was thinking something cute and flirty how’s this?” Jade asked as she showed me a knee-length yellow dress that was tight at the top with off the shoulder straps and flowed out at the bottom. She also showed me a pair of cute yellow flats to go with it; thank goodness for flats, I think I might have fallen on my face if it were those high-heels.

“Perfect,” I replied, as Ginger closed my jaw so that she could do my make-up.

When the girls were done I looked just as gorgeous and simple as yesterday. I think this was going to be my trend; natural make-up and cute dresses that suit me. They put on a light necklace that was chain with just a small crystal pendant in the middle and simple earrings to match.

“Ok, Miss, you’re ready, you already know where the breakfast room is, now just follow the crowd and sit down at your named place,” stated Joy as Jade opened the door for me to walk out.

I walked down the hall and saw Melanie waiting just outside the large doorways.

“Ah, Angel! There you are, you look as gorgeous as ever,” she stated looping arms with me in a casual way.

“As do you, are you as nervous as I am?” I asked fretfully. Melanie looked like the symbol of calm and elegance. She was wearing a deep purple dress that was covered in sequins at the top and ruffles down to her knees.

“Well, yes and no, I mean, I want everything to go well, but I’m not sure if I can be head over heels for him,” she replied as we walked into the room. I nodded as we parted way to find out seats.

Girls slowly trailed in after us until we were all here. Cameras were set up and James was sitting on a leather chair, his back to us, facing another leather chair by curtains that could be pulled around for privacy.  You can sense the nervous energy in the air as Carlin Steele begins to explain how things are going to run.

“So, you girls will be called in no particular order and to have time with the Prince. He will choose when you get to go sit back down, so honestly you could be talking for five seconds or five hours, it all depends.” He stopped and looked down a list.  When the first girls’ name is about to be called we all hold our breath.

“Miss Evangeline Stacy, you’re up first,” And when my name is called, I still am, while I stand and walk over to the chair across from James. Melanie gives me a confident smile and Izzy mouths the words ‘Good luck! You’ll do great!’

I was about to sit down across from James when he stood up to take my hand. I curtsied politely as his kissed it gently and gave me a mischievous smile. I sat down, as did James. He leaned in close beside my ear and whispered so no one else could hear.

“Did you have a good sleep?” he asked.

“Only the best of my life! It was like sleeping on a cloud made out of marshmallows,” I replied giddily. So I had over-slept just a bit and was over-hungry, which made me the teensiest bit hyper sometimes.

“That’s great,” he leaned back from being so close and I let go of the breath I didn’t know I was holding.  “So what did you like to do back home for fun?” he asked conversationally.
