So help me out please.....I really need it! Thanks!!!!

We got back to the stables just in time to get ready for dinner. I went up to my room leaving a trail of water behind me. When I got in my room my maids all stared.

“Eva! Where- what?” stuttered Ginger before Joy gently nudged her arm. “Well we must dry you off and get you looking stunning again for dinner,” she continued with a soft sigh.  Jade got out a hair dryer while Joy went to search for a dress.

“Do you mind if I pick the dress tonight?” I asked while Ginger began to dry my hair.

“Be my guest Eva, as soon as Ginger’s done, go right ahead,” she smiled as though she was waiting for the day when I could pick one of their creations.

Ginger was done almost instantly; I guess my hair wasn’t so wet after all. I made my way into the large closet that held my dresses. I gazed around seeing if they had the colour I was looking for. When I spotted it I let Joy know so she could get it down. The dress was the same cerulean, ocean blue that I had seen only minutes earlier. It was a simple body fitting gown, no sparkles, no ruffles, very, very plain yet elegant. It was simply perfect.

“Are you sure you want this one Miss?” asked Joy as she brought down my most wanted dress at the moment.

“Of course, it’s simple yet elegant, it’s what I’m going for at the moment,” I replied with a secretive smile. Jade helped Joy slip the tight dress over my head. It was very form flattering and strapless. There was a slit that went up to my knee on one side as well.

The girls brought me back out and did my makeup effortlessly. It was still so simple and chic. When they were done, I put on a simple necklace and walked out the door with grace and a sweet smile, ready to wow the other girls. It was that one kiss. It took me, making me realize that though I cared for Will, I might have feelings for James. It just who I wanted to fight for that I had to figure out.  My mind was still a little messed up at the moment. But if I was to figure out what I wanted I needed to try. And without trying I might as well go home. But I didn’t want to be mean. Just enough to know that I was fierce competition. I hoped I would do alright.

As I walked into the dining hall all the girls gasped and began whispering among them. I flicked my hair and walked over to my seat.

“Trying a little hard aren’t we?” asked the girl who sat beside me.

“I’m sorry I look good and you’re jealous,” I replied with attitude.

“Back off ok? You’re being worse than Chelsea” she asked rolling her eyes and facing the King who was at the front with the Queen. ‘Was I really being rude? Was I becoming worse than Chelsea? Ok this wasn’t me…..I need to tone it down a bit, and that was mean and rude….’

“You look lovely but tone it down a bit alright?” Izzy asked from beside me. “People are going to think you’re turning into some….some kind of over committed girl that only wants one thing…..” she trailed off.

“I understand…..sorry I just……I- I don’t know what I was thinking. Or doing,” I said, tears threatened to roll over. What was happening to me?!? Why was I suddenly so emotional and messed up?......I don’t know but I better get it straightened out and my priorities better be right…….

“It’s ok; we’re all going through a strange emotional rollercoaster right now. We have our times but need that light to shine in through our darkness. Just don’t let it get to you. Let me and Melanie be you light shining in ok? Don’t let it get to you,” Izzy stated. I smiled gratefully and gave her a small hug and whispered a quick thank you before we turned to face the King as well.

“Welcome to another lovely dinner ladies, I hope you enjoy, after we will talk more strictly about the Competition, but for now let’s begin!” the King stated as butlers brought out our dinner again. James smiled at me and winked. He also mouthed ‘You look great! See you later in “our spot”?’ I nodded, smiling and blushing to myself.

After dinner the King got up to talk again.

“Well I hope you enjoyed dinner ladies. But tomorrow the Competition gets fiercer. I will reveal your standings of what clues you have found at breakfast tomorrow. But letting you know now that some of you are falling behind. So pick up the pace and good luck! You are dismissed.” The King finished. I left the room and went down the hall. On my way I noticed at painting at the end of the hall. It was a portrait of the current royals. For a minute I thought I saw something behind the painting so I went to investigate.  I looked around it for a minute until I noticed a small notch that looked like a handle. I tugged on it and the painting swung open! Behind the spot on the painting where James heart would be was a small pocket filled with a few things. First was a note. I found the one with an emerald label. There were only ten notes left, meaning others had already found the second clue….dang it! I read over the note quickly.

The Prince’s heart holds the key. The key to find your next clue. The clue that will get you through. Through into the next round. The next round will challenge you. Challenge you both mentally and physically. Mentally and physically so be prepared. Be prepared for a storm.

This clue was very confusing……I got that James had to give us some kind of key? Yes, but the rest……… A storm? What storm? Garr, looks like this next clue just got a lot harder to find……I thought about it the whole way to the pond outside. James was already waiting for me there. I smiled at the sight of him. At least one thing could comfort me. When he turned towards me his eyes seemed sad.

“Hello Angel,” he said, almost…..almost distantly……what was going on? ‘Let me and Melanie be you shining light in the darkness,’ I think afterwards I need to let them know……everything.
