Clattering caused my eyes to flutter open. I scurried around searching for a light. Nothing. Darkness filled the area from all around me. The dark made me feel secluded and forgotten. Like I didn't matter. My hands scraped beneath me to find cold rough metal. I scrambled up to only collide my head with the ceiling.

Great.

I tried to sort through my brain how I managed to get here. Think. Logan th-

Logan!

For a girl it felt quite unnatural, but then again it was the only thing I could remember. Somehow all my memories had vanished. I recall I have a family, but I don't know their names. I know I'm a girl, but I'm not sure what I look like. It was all so odd.

There was nothing in my brain. I searched and scanned through my brain. I found knowledge but no memories. I knew everything, but how I learned it or why. I rubbed my temple vigorously concentrating. Attempting to clear everything from my mind.

Rumbling came from the box once again tossing me over onto my side. I tried to process anything besides emptying whatever I ate last onto the metal floor.

Red lights blazed around me providing me with a faint light. I didn't mind the light, but it wasn't what I was engrossed in. Every once and awhile I would get just enough light to read the labels printed across the boxes placed before me. Each one had the same words:

Property of WICKED

It seemed like hours upon hours of sitting and waiting. I twiddled my fingers to pass time but my stomach began to growl. I had already rummaged through the various boxes to only find grain, seeds, wool, and rusted tools.

The flailing red lights clicked off and a jerk shoved me across the metal box. I heaved a deep breath and grazed around my surroundings... Cold, dusty, secluded, and dark. I squinted my eyes to try and snatch the slightest glimpse of anything. Nothing. The container shifted me once again delivering me into more baskets and containers.

Sudden lights burnt through my eyes sending me stumbling back into the baskets and boxes. My eyes fluttered open trying to focus in on my environment. Voices approached and a tattered hand grabbed my wrist heaving me up. My eyes finally adjusted to the beaming sun. Boys were scattered around my new metal box examining me closley.

The boys all looked worn and breathless. Like they had nothing to live for. They began gesturing in my direction and whispering. No girls.

One boy in a blue button down shirt and ripped jeans shouted, "Another girl?!"

Another responded with, "I call dibs!" This made excitement fluster around the boys demanding a retry. I tried to debate what I may have looked like. What color my hair was? What color my eyes were? Tall or short? Ugly or pretty?

Then I realized the boy with scruffy blonde hair was still gripping my arm. He had a forced smile form his lips and a sharp accent conjured a faint, "Welcome to the Glade."
