Ink's POV
I've dreaded this day for months.. will they accept me? Will they befriend me? Or...will they bully me? Like every other school?...I shake the thought from my head, and let out a long breath I was apparently holding. I grabbed my notepad, some pencils and my backpack. It was going to be a long...long day. I waved goodbye to my mom and left for school.
No POV
Ink waited for the bus. The bus stop was generally empty, except for a few monsters. A lizard monster, a cat monster, and a bunny monster. Ink stood by them and waited. The lizard waved, and Ink waved back shyly, clutching his notebook to his chest. The lizard stood next to Ink and said that her name was Alphys. "N-nice to meet you! W-what's your name?" Alphys stuttered. Ink flipped open his notebook and wrote some things down. He turned rhe book and Alphys read. Hello! My name is Ink Comyet, but you can call me Ink. Alphys nodded and smiled, silently questioning the notebook. Ink read her puzzled face, and scribbled down some more. Im a mute, so I find it easier to write things down since not everybody can read sign language. "Ohh! That makes a lot more sense!" Alphys nodded thoughtfully. "Can you sign though?" Alphys wondered outloud. Ink nodded and made various shape and symbols with his hands, at an incredible speed as well. Alphys stared, absolutly amazed. "What did you say?" She asked excitedly. Ink scribbled in his notepad. That you were a good friend and I hope to get to know you more through the year! Alphys awed. Suddenly, the bus pulled up in front of them, screeching to a hault. The taller and older monsters pushed past Ink and Alphys, sneering as they climbed the stairs and took their seat. Ink and Alphys took their seat in the back, sitting together obviously. Alphys asked a variety of questions, which Ink answered gleefully. Maybe this year won't be so bad, He thought. When they stopped, Ink looked out the window to see a dark boned skeleton. A little taller than Ink, the dark boned sketon had on black hoodie with blue cuffs, black jeans and earbuds blasting what Ink could only imagine as something edgy (Mood tbh). Ink watched as the skeleton boarded the bus. The seats up front were taken, so he had no choice but to sit in the back. Ink noticed something...odd, but blew it off as his imagination. The taller sat in the seat across from Ink and Alphys. Inks tapped Alphy's shoulder and wrote down something, asking if they could switch spots, which Alphys agreed. Ink turned to the dark boned skeleton, who was facing the window, still playing his music. Ink reached over snd tapped him on the shoulder. "W-W-WHAT THE HELL!?" The taller shrieked. "D-DON'T TOUCH M-ME!!" He glitched insanely. Ink found it fascinating, but quickly flipped to a new page and wrote, Im sorry! I just wanted to say hello.. Ink hid his face behind his notepad, occasionally looking at the skeleton's face.
"What's with a n-note b-book?" The other glitched. Ink blushed, clearly embarrassed. It's so i can communicate, Im a mute, you see. Error read it, and nodded thoughtfully. "Maybe this year will be a tad bit interesting" He thought. And he was write, it definitely wasn't going to be any normal year for the monsters and humans of UnderHigh City.(I procrastinated so longggg im sorry. For those eho are probably wondering why I picked the name UnderHigh City, it was because the town was named after irs school, who was founded by Asgore and Frisk, just a few years after the surface break.(Ebott City is in another state so to say). Hope you enjoyed this chapter, sorry it was bad. owo)
