The lights began to flicker once again. Then I realized it.

It can't be me. No, it isn't... It isn't me... No, no, no! That's not fucking possible! No! No...

I then hurriedly took out my phone from my pocket and clicked the power button. It didn't turn on like I expected, though I was hoping for it to.

What is this...? What is all this...? I.. I need to calm dow- I need to help Sarah first.

"Sarah? Sarah, wake up. Sarah, please wake up! No, no, no! Fuck!"

She gave no response. I picked her up and brought her to my bed and rushed to the medicine cabinet in the kitchen downstairs as fast as I could to retrieve the bandages. I was able to see things a little better by that time even though my house was almost pitch black because all the curtains were drawn. I hastily grabbed the bandages and ran back up the stairs while I was hoping to see her awake but unfortunately she was out cold. I cleaned up her forehead, the bleeding stopped and I wrapped a bandage on her head.

"I'm so sorry, I don't know how this happened... ", I told her, knowing she couldn't hear me. I then looked at the dried blood on the carpet from the day before.

Gotta clean up this mess.

I grabbed a mop along with a bucket of water and began cleaning it up. It really wasn't easy but I somehow managed to get it clean enough for it to only be spotted using a magnifying glass. I took my bloodied clothes that I wore the day before, put them in the washing machine and then I went to the bathroom to finally wash my face.

No more stares.

I then just sat at the edge of the bed staring at Sarah like a total creep, hoping for her to wake up. Eventually the lights came back on. After an hour or so, Sarah woke up. "Wallace? Could you- Could you get me some painkillers?" she said, slowly.

"You're awake! Holy fuck, I'm so sorry that happened. I'm really sorry!"

"Painkillers first, please." she said in a voice that was almost a whisper.

"They're right there." I pointed towards the nightstand that also had a glass of water on it that I placed there for her.

"But, what happened? You slammed the door in my face, then what happened? Don't tell me that was enough to knock me out! I will not be happy if that's the case." her voice was normal this time.

"I...- I slammed the door so hard that it got disconnected from the door frame because, um,  it was a fragile door, y'know and I accidentally hit your head really hard. I'm sorry..."

She tilted her head to the side to look behind me to look at the door frame and said, "Damn, that door was seriously that fragile that someone like you tore it off like that? How do you ever feel safe in this house?"

"Don't mock me... I'm not weak."

"Of course you're not." she said as she smiled at me.

I'm glad you're not that badly hurt.

"So... How do I make it up to you?"

"Explain to me what happened here, that's all and we're even."

Really? That's it? But... would she believe me if I told her? Should I?

"Alright. I had another blood-vomit here and it was a lot more than back at school yesterday."

She got up, hugged me tightly and said to me, "You're okay now, right? Tell me you are."

I really don't know. I wish I knew...

"Yeah, it was all because I wasn't eating healthy. I feel a lot better now. Good thing there wasn't any more blood vomits after this." I said pointing towards the floor.
