Wallace's POV

"Sarah, just open the door. I just- I just wanna talk!", my voice was shaky.

"Just go away.", her voice was really quiet.

I then did something quite creepy and used my telekinesis to unlock the door from the outside and opened it.

"Sarah...", I saw her sitting in the corner of her room curled up into a ball crying her eyes out as her whole face was a bright red.

"That was locked.", she was still very quiet.

"Not properly, I think. I just pushed really hard but forget that!", I rushed to her, got down on my knees in front of her, cupped her face in my hands and wiped her tears as she instantly pushed both my hands away.

"I'm sorry.", my voice was shaky again. "Your mom told me to keep this from you. You needed to recover first."

"I wasn't even hit that badly."

"You were and I'm sorry I couldn't do anything.", I put my hands on her shoulder as she stared at me as if I had betrayed her.

"I missed the fucking funeral, Wallace!", she yelled which caught me by surprise.

"It's not your fault!"

"I'm not blaming myself, I'm blaming you and Heston for not fucking telling me!", she broke down in tears. "I thought you two were my friends."

"We ar-"

"Shut up and leave. Now."

"Sarah, please don't be like this, I'm sorry!", I began to cry too.

"The hell are you crying about?! He wasn't even your brother!", she punched my chest.

Because you think I killed him.

"It really hurts to see you cry."

"Shut up and leave, I said!", she stood up.

I stood up and hugged her tightly while she tried to fight me but she soon gave up and let me hug her.

"It'll be okay. I promise.", I told her as she continued to cry. "You can talk to me anytime. You know that, right?"

She didn't reply, she just pushed me away and got under the covers of her bed.

"I'll come by to check on you after a bit. Hope you don't mind."

"Just leave already."

On my way to school, I didn't feel like going at all. I wanted to stay with Sarah but she made it obvious she wanted to be alone and I couldn't blame her.

When I got there, I saw Heston in front of his locker and he turned towards me when I got closer. "What's wrong, man?", he asked.

"She saw the news."

He gave me a concerned look. "You're kidding, right?"

"Do I look like I am?"

"Fuck!", he leaned against his locker holding his head. "Did you talk to her?"

"She was crying... a lot. And she told me to leave."

He was just looking at me with a sad look waiting for me to say something further.

"She hates both of us for not telling her."

"But it's not really our fault, is it? We literally just did what her mom wanted us to."

"She deserved to know it."

"Dude, it's okay, man. We'll help her through this as soon as we get home today."
