Chap18

Jack G's POV

I walked up to her, she was standing by the front door.

"What?" She asks walking away from me.

"I need to talk to you." I say as she is walking up the stairs to her room I assume.

"I don't think there is anything to talk about Jack."

"Ohh yes there is and you know it Jade. I know you do."

She stands in front of the door way to her room. "Well then talk because I have nothing to say to you." She says.

Okay here goes nothing I thought to myself. "What is wrong? What's happening that you don't want to be around me anymore or hang out with anyone besides Greyson?" I stare at her, searching her eyes for an answer. But she goes into her room and tries to shut the door, but I catch it with my arm and proceed to follow her again.

"Well are you gonna answer me?" I ask again.

"Well you said we had to talk, not ask me 50 million questions Jack."

She is so stubborn and it's getting really frustrating. I don't know how she doesn't understand how I feel about her , even though I am in a relationship. I know it bothers her but I don't know what to do about it.

I sigh. "Please just answer me." I beg her. She takes a seat on her bed before she sits there for a second thinking about what to say.

"Don't tell me ... you think you don't have the slightest clue why I don't hang around anymore."

I try to think for a second then I reply "I don't and that's why I am asking you because, because I ... I miss you ... Okay I miss you." I said it and I meant but I wasn't really ready to say it because I stuttered.

"Yeah I know you do and I do too I guess, but I just can't okay." She says frustrated.

At this point I am starting to get really annoyed. "It's Greyson."I say after a few seconds and her head snaps back up.

"Oh so now that I am finally happy you are gonna blame Greyson for the reason I'm not around?"

"I'm not blaming Greyson for anything, but ever since you two have had a thing you haven't been around." I stopped, then quickly continued. "Can't you see I'm trying not to lose you again." I said. She stayed quiet. I feel my anger and I don't even know why I am this angry. I am letting it get the best of me.

"Why?" Was all I said. She looked up "Why what?" She questioned.

"Why are you with him when he's leaving so soon." I said.

I immediately regret it. I don't know what he had told her and what I just said was so wrong. Maybe she is trying not to think about him leaving for the Marines and I just shoved the thought right back into her mind. Then it hit me. Maybe she is trying to spend as much time with him before he leaves. Or could it possibly be that she still doesn't know. I don't know which answer it is but I had a feeling I was gonna find out in about 20 seconds.

"What are you talking about?" She questioned with her eyebrows furrowed. I didn't know what to say to her because I could really say the wrong thing right now.

"Your both going away. How are you going to handle long distance Jade?" I said just generalizing it to see if he even freaking told her yet and at this point I don't think she knows the slightest clue about it.

"You don't know that. Neither of us know that we are definitely even going away." She answered as if I should have known. I guess she really does have no clue that he is going to be ripped away from her so soon.
