Chap5

Jack G's POV

Thank god it was Friday! I honestly could not wait for this party tonight! I was picking up Grace after school. We were going together. I know that Mallory and Jack are going together to so there should be a good group if people there tonight. Jack's probably bringing Jade too. I really wonder if and hope Jade's mom didn't say anything to her about me asking if I could talk to her. I think that would be a little awkward being that I don't even try to talk to her or have in like a few years.

Maybe I can try to talk to her at the party tonight she has to be going. It's one of the biggest parties this year. Wait Jack what, you can't talk to her. Grace will be there! Grace kind of gets very jealous and a little over protective of me which is good at some points be I know she wants to be all mine. Maybe I'll just wave to Jade, maybe let her know that I want to start talking to her again. It's just kills me because we used to be inseparable.

I walk to my locker and Grace is waiting there for me as usual. "Hi babe" she squeals. I kiss her softly, but quickly and continue speaking "Hey! So I am getting you after chill right ?" I questioned.

" Yes Jack at 5:30 right?" She said then adds before I can speak

"Ya know so we can hang out before..." she emphasized the "before" meaning she wanted to do things before the party if you know what I mean. I guess that's cool with me.

" K baby!" I said closing my locker and walking her to her class. As we are walking there I see Jade. I haven't really seen her l week. I only see her sometimes in the halls. As Grace and I pass her hand on hand she makes eye contact with me. This never happens like ever. She must have been looking at me before I noticed because she flinched a little and gave me a faint smile.

She has to know I came over and asked for her. She has to because she never looks at me like that.

I was so caught up in what was happening right in front of me that I wasn't listening to Grave talking to me, nor did I smile back at Jade because of the state if shock I was in.

Stupid Jack, stupid Jack. I literally just stared right back at Jade and then I saw her awkwardly look down and keep walking.

Well I just screwed that one up. Damn.

I pulled out if my daze by Grace calling my name. "Jack...Jack! Are you ignoring me?!?"

"No babe never I just a little out if it today, tired I guess." I replied

"Well you better perk up because we have some partying to do later, but as I was saying... Winter formal is coming up!" She saying tapping my arm in excitement.

I almost forgot about winter formal.

" Oh yeah! Can't wait!" I answered

Grace asks "What color are we wearing!"

The bell rings indicating it is time for me to let her go to class and for me to get to class.

"We will finish this later." Grace states kissing me and walking into class.

I walked away thinking what just happened.

I am so caught up in so many things right now it's insane. I sat in class and couldn't focus one bit. I had so much on my mind. I just needed to get through this day and that party for a little mental break honestly.

I drove home. I took my time and stopped to get myself some food. By the time I was home it was about 3:00. Two and half hours before o have to go and get Grace or whatever. In the mean time I text Jack. I thought to myself if anyone knows anything in everything about Jade it's Jack.
