Bucky spent the day wandering around the apartment looking at the photographs on the walls, reading the helpful little notes stuck on his bedroom walls and looking through the journal. One big question was left unanswered though, who was Addy to him? A friend? A lover? There was no mention of it anywhere in the journal but he could sense it any time she was near. “How's it going Buck? Any new memories come up?” Steve asked as Bucky wandered back into the living room still clutching the journal, “No, nothing like that...I wanted to talk to you about Addy” Bucky said taking his seat awkwardly on the couch, “Sure, ask away” Steve said sitting up straight which he'd read in a psychology book made you seem more open and receptive to questioning. “Is she your girl?” Bucky asked first and Steve gave a chuckle, “Not exactly, she's too much of a free spirit for just one man to handle” he replied which only added to Bucky's bewilderment. “How long have I known her?” was his next question, “About as long as I've known her. Nearly three years” Steve answered. Bucky was satisfied with his answers for now. About an hour later Addy emerged from her room dressed in a shapely black suit and looking a million dollars. “Alright boys, I'm off to work. You call if you need anything!” she said stepping into her heels by the door which added a good inch or two to her short stature, her honey blonde hair had been pinned up neatly into a bun and she had a security ID clipped to her breast pocket. Steve got to his feet to say goodbye and Addy gave him a kiss on the lips still needed to rise onto her toes even in her heeled shoes to reach his face. She turned to Bucky who had stood when Steve had and she reached up to place a sweet kiss on his cheek, not wanting to push him or make him feel awkward by kissing him on the lips as she normally would. The waved her out the door and Steve checked to make sure it was locked, “What would I normally do now?” Bucky asked eager to get back to normal and wake up a few memories while he was at it. “Normally we'd go work out at the gym around the corner, get lunch at the park cafe or a street vendor after and then we'd come.back home. Addy works from nine to five over at Stark Industries so she will usually leave instructions to get things ready for dinner or she'll pick something up on the way home. After lunch we usually just have some down time, watch some movies and tidy up a bit before Addy gets home” Steve said as if he were reading the usual routine off a page in his mind. “OK, I'll go and get dressed” Bucky said heading back to his room. It took him a while to find anything since he simply couldn't remember where any of it was, he had found the shirt drawer and was rummaging through it when he came across a black shirt that had the word “Very” screened across the front in white. Almost immediately he was swarmed with a memory, he had been in the living room when Addy had presented both him and Steve with a wrapped package. Within the packages were a shirt each, Bucky's had said “Very” while Steve's had said “Friends” which made no sense. “Is this one of those meme things? Very friends? Like that other one… Much Good?” Steve had asked but Addy had whipped off her cardigan to reveal she wore a matching shirt with the word “Best” written on it. Together and in the right order the shirts read “Very Best Friends” which really summed up what they were. Bucky watched as Memory-Bucky leant in and kissed Addy on the lips, a kiss filled with love and passion that threatened to spill over into lusty territory. “Save some for me” Steve had  scolded all the while clutching his heat as if awfully hurt not to be included and Addy had broken the kiss to plant one on Steve's lips while still in Bucky's embrace. “We'll always be very best friends” she whispered as the memory finished leaving Bucky reeling. Talk about confusing!
