Chapter 5

Winter’s P.O.V

Today is now Friday. The whole week was the same, ever since Chloe invited Caleb to have lunch with us; the six of us have been hanging out every day. Cole, Mark and him became really close too.

“Winter can I speak with you for a sec?” Libby, one of my classmates and the VP of our batch asked.

“Sure what’s up?”

“Well two weeks from now will be our schools foundation day and Mr. Halter (our school president) said that the school would be hosting a pageant. I was informed that each year level should have a representative”

“Okay...So what’s your point?” I know I was kind of rude to her when I said that; but hey if she wants to say something she should say it straight away.”

“Well as the president of our batch, I wanted to tell you that you’ll be the one to represent us.

“What! Wait…hold on a sec. I’m not cut out for this. I’m not a model! Heck I don’t even know how to model or ramp or whatever they call it! So NO-“

“Well you actually don’t have a choice; Mr. Halter said it’s final”

“Then I’m guessing I need a partner right?”

“Yeah…but on the good side you’re the one who will decide who your partner is going to be but of course it should be a junior.”

 “I know that” I groanGreat…just great. Life can’t get any better huh…(_    _)

Saturday:

I woke up very early today, I wonder why. I was actually expecting to wake up late like maybe 10 am or 12 noon since its Saturday, but no I just have to wake up 8 in the morning. I tried sleeping again but no use. I can’t go back to sleep so here I am sitting upside down in my bed thinking on what to do today. I don’t have any homework to do, no meetings to attend and I’ve already studied last night. After a few minutes I thought about Caleb.  When he’s always near me my heart always beat fast then every time he smiles at me seeing his cute deep dimple; the world just seems to stop and when he looks at me with those chestnut colored eyes, it’s like his looking deep into my soul. Wow cliché

“This is bad; I can’t be falling for him already and besides guys like him will only break my heart. I mean soon enough many girls will be falling at his feet. I can already see it in school; many girls are already trying to get his attention.” I think I got caught up in too much thinking that I forgot I haven’t eaten anything yet. I looked at the clock and saw it was already 9 am. Wow time ready do flash by when you’re thinking.

I got out of bed and made my way downstairs to the kitchen and opened the fridge. While I was looking at anything available to eat I didn’t notice that there was somebody other than me in the kitchen. You see the maids and the cooks are in a meeting right now with the head of the house in the prep room so there’s nobody around right now to cook for me.

So I was saying, I was too busy looking for anything available to eat that I didn’t notice that there was person sitting at the counter.

“Good morning”

“Ahh!” I almost drop the milk that I was holding.

“Hey relax it’s just me”

“Caleb?! Wha-what are you doing here?”

“Well my dad said to your dad that we’re going to visit today. I think they have something to talk about. Business stuff, didn’t your dad tell you?
