Florence Hart sat in the interview room in the Bellston Police Station with handcuffs on her wrists and she was wearing a blue jumper with a pair of skinny jeans and a pair of flats on her. She was on charges for the murder of Harvey James, the assault of Marie Watson and the attempted murder of LLoyd Parks. She looked tired.

Opposite her was Inspector George Bradley, the idiot policeman who had been investigating the murder at the Music Festival, but had done a brutal job at it. Although they had found the murder weapon which was one of the main things.

''Florence Hart. Why did you murder Harvey James in cold blood? Maybe you should start from the very beginning''.

She sighed. ''Well. It's quite a long story. Are you sure?''

Miss Hart, we have plenty of time. Please, do tell'.

''Well, about fifteen years ago I married a lovely man by the name of Harold James. He was slim nice and very charming. But he'd been married before to some old hag who was quite annoying. The feeling was mutual between them. So they got a divorce. But...they'd had a son by the name of Harvey who was half of the time living with his mother half with Harold''.

''So does that mean you were Harvey James' step-mother?''

''You bet I was. He really loved me. 'Family' loved me you see. I on the other hand found him a bit annoying, slightly feckless and a big dreamer. But he grew on me and we formed a mother-son bond. He liked me more than his biological mother''.

  ''So what happened afterwards?''

''Well a good while later Harold my old husband died which was quite a blow to Harvey. He didn't know where his mother was. No one knew. We all presumed she'd moved off to some sunny place in Spain. So I was the only one there for him. Well there was also music which he'd gotten into months before. So we started are family of two. Harvey went to a music college while I ran my studio. He graduated eventually and met his colleagues Rory and Chuck later on and they formed a band which were very impressive''.

''They must have been. So you signed them to your record label. Wait, hold up. I thought they were discovered busking in the streets?''

Her eyes widened. Then she smiled. ''That trash. Yeah that was just a cover story. The media will swallow anything they're fed.  People would have thought it suspicious if they found out I was his step-mom''.

''Yes I suppose that would make sense. Although that's a very hard secret to keep people could find out in an instant''.

''Well now that you bring it up and also I've nothing to lose. Inspector Bradley would you like to know something. This isn't the first time I've killed before. And Lloyd Parks had a hand in it''.

Inspector Bradley stared at her with great amazement. What on earth was she blabbing about? He kept his cool and pushed on.

''Really? Well I suggest you tell me about that Miss''.

''Well one night Harvey James brought home a young girl named Sylvia Dexter. Nice girl''.

''Yes. Mr. Parks told me about her. Not that much though. Pray, continue''.

''Well obviously I ran a background check on her. And I found out that she was a journalist from a magazine called The Style Magazine. It was just a magazine about rubbish. But then I found out that Sylvia did a column about celebrities and dishing the dirt. So when she came home one night with Harvey I read a notebook that was in her handbag. She was going to reveal that I was his mother. I couldn't let that happen''.

''So, I'm just guessing that you and Parks plotted to murder her. Tut tut. You people are horrible. But tell me how you, you know-''

''Inspector, I just got Lloyd to kill her in a hit and run and make it look like an accident. They never found her killer''.

   ''Why did you kill Harvey?''

''Well, Harvey wanted to go solo. He didn't like working with others, sharing his money and all that. I agreed. His album would obviously make millions. But then for the first time Harvey started to actually think about things. He didn't like how his music was and that we were completey changing his music. So he said he would move to another record label''.

''So that must have shattered you to pieces. After all you'd done for him. In fact, you killed for him so you took your revenge''.

''Oh no that's not why I killed him at all. Sure I took it hard but he was a big boy and I let him follow his choice''.

''If that's not your motive, why did you kill him?''

''It's all thanks to Lloyd. He could never take guilt. He felt very bad about murdering that poor girl. One night he broke down in front of Harvey telling him everything about Sylivia's death. That night I lied about why I was there. I said I was there to check out the show but Harvey called me over and threatened to tell the police that I'd killed Sylvia all those months ago. I had a paperweight in my handbag so when he turned his back i threw it at him. He crumbled to the floor. So when all attention was paid to the stage I put the body in a crate, pushed it outside. Got on top of the roof and left the body there and I threw my hoodie away and pretended to have been there just watching the show like everyone else''.

''You had the perfect plan. Now that Harvey was gone you were safe. Nothing could bother you. Until little Marie stepped in''.

''Oh that horrible creature. If she hadn't gone and read those stupid papers I wouldn't have had to hit her over the head''.

''Well what did those papers actually say?''

''The papers? Oh my marriage certificates. I couldn't leave them lying around for someone else to find so I had to burn them''.

''What about LLoyd? You tried to kill him too''.

''Yeah, because since he was willing to tell Harvey he could tell anyone. So that's why I had to do it. Well at least try do to it. Then Rory and Chuck discovered me and I just gave up''.

''Thank you, Miss Hart that will be all'', he said leaving he room quickly trying to get away from the evil murderess who sat, defeaten, before him.
