Indian Philosophy has gone through and has been met with opposition. Sue Hamilton tells us that Indian Philosophy waned over subsequent centuries and eventually came to an end. As we read in this book we see that Indian Philosophy has gone through a number of revisions to the point that they decided to keep their teachings and their philosophies to themselves and out of contact with the West. Yet we also find out that the west was able to still get hold on to India's philosophical teachings and because of it they were able to manipulate and misconstrue its actual meaning and understandings into something that they could understand within the West thus ultimately loosing the complete and truthful translation of Sanskrit.
The only good thing that came from the West messing with Indian Philosophy is that it was given a door to influence and spread all over the world. We now have India Philosophy being taught in Public School systems and in Private School systems (we just do not know it). We also have Indian Philosophy (Buddhism, Hinduism, Daoism, Confucianism, Taoism, Yogini etc..) and the Indian Religion of Buddhism, and Hinduism being taught in public and private schools, and even in a more depth (research papers, and reading, learning, academic roundtables and such etc..) within the collegiate level.
