Chapter 5 : Jack and Ray? No Way!

Jack wakes up and goes to the bath. He takes a shower and thinks "So I'm teaming up with Ray ha!? I confess it was a surprise. I don't know how he is in person. But I hope he isn't the type of guy I think he is."

He comes out of the shower naked. "Hey dude, you'll really have a problem with that tiny size of yours" a voice taunts him. He is shocked and looks back. He is a slender young man with short red hair.

"What the.. who the hell are you?" Jack questions. "Well I am your room mate, mate! My name is Charlie. It's nice to meet you, tiny sword!"

Jack: who the hell are you calling tiny sword, pal?

Charlie: uh! Is that such a bad name? It suits you doesn't it?

Jack: no it doesn't. Anyways you are my roommate, that means you are Natalia's partner?

Charlie: yes. But why do I see jealousy on your face, mate?

Jack is embarrassed: what the hell are you talking about? I...I am not jealous.

Charlie: okay okay calm down. I don't know her well. If you are her friend, why don't you introduce me to her. After all we are buddies, aren't we?

Charlie holds Jack's shoulder with a big smile.

Jack: when did we get all buddy buddy? Anyways I won't say that she and I are friends but Catherine might be of help here.

Charlie: oh that beauty! I will surely have to meet her then. I'll be on my way then. Thanks mate!

He waves at Jack and leaves

Jack: I never thought my roommate will be a freak too.

He looks down at his ****

"Is it that small?"

Gon is on his table going through some notes.

"When will I finish all these? I hate working. Instead I want some hot chicks playing with me." He blushes and goes off to a daydream. But his daydream short lived as he woke up from the sound of the main door opening. It's Jack.

"Hey old man. You called me!"

Gon: oh yes Jack. Take a sit.

Jack comes and sits down. "So what is it?"

Gon: you are in a partnership with Ray. So you must prove that you're strong. Ray never had a teammate before or took part in any tag team matches.

Jack: why do I care. I never even had a fight.

Gon: that's true. So why not you spar tonight. It will be a good practice too.

Jack: there are just 3 days left for the match, isn't it?

Gon: indeed. So you must have a good bond with Ray.

Jack: I hope that works out well.

Gon: of course it will. Ray is a handsome young man.

Jack: what does that even mean? I'm not into guys, you perv.

Gon: oh sorry I got carried away. Anyways you will meet him tonight. And your sparring will take place tonight. It's a Thursday so there are no matches.

Jack: I see.. whom am I facing then?

Gon: well, I think you should tag with Ray and fight. It'll be a good practice too.

Jack: are you sure about that?

Gon: I'm always sure about what I say.

Jack walks back to his room through the corridor. He is in his thoughts. "I don't know how Ray is. I just saw one match and even the match was unclear. I didn't see any of his moves. And what worse, I don't even know my own moves. I guess, father's training will pay tonight."
