CHAPTER THREE

AX400

Sat at my desk I was still filling out some of the paper work from Carlos Ortiz's case.

"Fuck I hate paperwork, why didn't I chose a job that doesn't require me to fill shit like this out huh?" I said sighing. I get up to get a coffee when I see Reed walk out from the break area.

"You better put a lead on the plastic pet of yours before I put it down for good!" He said as he walked off.

"Damn..." was all I could say I watched him stomp away. I walk in to find Connor clutching his stomach before slowly rising to his feet.

"Woah Connor are you ok?" I say coming to his side.

"I'm fine officer L/n, detective Reed just got a little...annoyed by my answer" he said before straightening his tie.

"Okay one, I told you to call me Y/n and two, detective 'rigid' is an annoyance to most...now he knows how we feel. I wouldn't be so hung up on his feelings Connor, he's just very hotheaded is all" I told him while pouring my coffee in the mug I had brought with me.

"I'm sorry...Y/n I'll try to remember that" and with that he left the break area. I was still sitting on one of the stools near the counter when I heard a loud bang against the glass in the open office, curious I went to see what it was.

Hank had Connor by the collar and up against the glass wall looking pissed to the max and Connor just looked calm as all hell.

"Woah, woah, woah Hank. Hank what are doing?" I hurriedly rushed over.

"This fucker needs to stop pissing me off, I'm just making sure he gets the message" he growled. I gently put my hand on Hank's arm and he seemed to relax a little even if he didn't let go of his collar.

"Lieutenant. Uh...sorry to disturb you, I have some information on the AX400 that attacked the guy last night. It's been seen in the Ravendale district" Chris said coming to the rescue to which Hank let go of Connor.

"I'm on it" he said and walked off. Connor looked a little shaken and I just told him choose his words more wisely when talking to Hank to which he just nodded.

Time skip to Ravendale district

Getting out of the car we see Ben already there so we walked up to him.

"We've got officers sweeping the neighbourhood, in case anybody saw anything" Ben said.

"Okay well let me know if they turn anything up" Hank said, I walked over to Connor and started to talk about this with him.

3rd P.O.V

As Y/n walked over and spoke with Connor, Ben and Hank were having their own little private conversation.

"What are you gonna do with that?" He asked looking from Connor to Hank.

"I've no idea..." he replied.

"What does Y/n think about it? I mean I know she had her issues with them as well but she doesn't seem to care..."Ben asked Hank who just shrugged.

"Dunno? You'd think she'd be annoyed as well eh... why was she put on the case in the first place?" Hank asked.

"According to her Fowler put her on to keep you in check but I think there's another reason for it" he said with a smirk on his face as both him and Hank looked at you. You turned to look at the pair and you gave them a big smile before returning to your conversation with Connor.
