CHAPTER FOUR

ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES & HARDCORE PARKOUR

Hank stopped at a fast food outlet that had the words "chicken feed" in big neon lights, we both got out of the car and walked across the street towards it, Hank almost got hit by a car on the way there.

"Hey Hank, how ya doin'?" Gary asked.

"Eh you know, same old shit" I heard Hank say as I joined him.

"You good too Y/n? What about that stray you found?" Gary asked me with a laugh.

"Yeah I'm good and don't call him a stray, he's still being silent and won't leave the room unless it's to use the toilet...although he did wash himself yesterday for the first time since he's been here so he's improving" I told him with a slight sigh and he just laughed.

"You guys know each other?" Hank asked.

"Oh yeah me and Y/n go way back, way before she became a cop actually...you wanna know how?" He said with a sly grin as he looked at me then at Hank. Hank just nodded and leaned forward meaning for Gary to continue.

"Gary I swear..." I said a little angry, Hank raised an eyebrow to me then looked back at Gary.

"I used to babysit the lil' lady stood next to you Hank" he chuckled and Hank's eyes go wide as he snapped his head to look at me.

"Cheers for that" I gave him a death glare.

"No problemo kiddo" he said handing me my large coke, I took it and and gave him a fake smile then walked towards the tables so I was out of earshot of Gary's teasing.

"Ahhh it's fun to embarrass her" Gary said then continued to finish Hank's regular.

3rd P.O.V

Hank looked from Gary to where you were stood and just stared. How old is she again?...30 something? Hank thought to himself before his thoughts were cut off by Pedro asking about a bet which Hank finally agreed to after some time which by then Connor had joined him.

"Uhhh...what is your problem?" Hank asked.

"Don't you every do as your told? Look, you don't have to follow me around like a poodle!" He said irritated, finally Connor answered him.

"I'm sorry for my behaviour back at the station. I didn't mean to be unpleasant." He said.

"Oh wow... you've even got a brown-nosing apology program! Guys at Cyberlife really thought of everything, huh?" Gary then turned to give Hank his food.

"Here you go." He said handing him a XL coke and a hamburger.

"Ah, thanks Gary I'm starving..." Hank took his order.

"Oh and Hank do me a favour would you?" He said and Hank turned around.

"Without context just say the name 'Jax Palmer' she'll know what you mean and don't leave that thing here!" he said with a smug smile and then glared at Connor.

"Uhh okay I will and not a chance! Follows me everywhere..." Hank said walking away and towards you, Connor then followed Hank much to his dismay.
