Finding Ways to Love

The Past

I sat on the couch alone staring out of the window. It was my wedding night. A night that every girl dreams about but for me its not less than a nightmare.

Things werent such in the past. I was happy back then, we were happy. But that one incident changed it all. And here I was now as Mrs Aaron James.

" You are not dressed yet", his voice starled me.

I looked up from the book I was reading to see him standing on the door with his stupid smile plastered on his face. I rolled my eyes at him and went back to read my book.

"Common Amber go and get ready",he said snatching the book from my hand and placing it on the table.

"Aaron",I shrieked. I hated when someone disturbed me when I was reading especially for a stupid reason.

"Common go get ready. I dont want us to get late because of you", he said pulling my arm.

"I am not intrested in becoming the third wheel again. So sorry I m not coming", I said taking my book back.

I dont even remember which page I was on and because of this idiot I have to now waste time searching for it.

"Thats not true", I heard him complain.

"Why dont you just be happy to spend some time alone with your girlfriend", I said flipping the pages of the book. Ugggh...where the hell I was...

"Are you sure?", he said, his lips pressed into a thin line now.

"Yup", I shook my head.

I wide smile spread across his face .

"Now remember this and say the same thing to Ester", he said grinning.

"You are suck a jerk Aaron", I said finally let my inner feelings out at him.

"Common who wont love to spend sometime alone with his hot girlfriend", he winked.

I gave him a disgusted look before walking out of the room heading towards the kitchen.

Wasting my time on Aaron has made me hungry. And now that Ester is going out, I have to cook my dinner myself and thats a huge task I have in hands.

I could hear faint voices coming from Ester's room. I just hope thry are not fighting.

The thing is Ester, I and Aaron are friends from high school. Not best buddies but just friends. But what came as a suprise to me was when Aaron proposed Ester and the most shocking part was Ester actually said yes but what can I say infront of the famous quote 'Opposites Attract'. But the real task is, being their mutual friend it was my reponsibilty for their patch up everytime they fight.Yes I lead I very busy life...

I was still busy deciding whether I should have last night's left over pizza or actually try and cook when Ester's voice startled me.

"Amber", she called. I looked up to see her standing at the kitchen door huffing in anger.And yet again the drama begins.

I choosed to ignore her and pay attention to more important task at my hand now, thats my dinner.

"Amber", she called again marching in. "Do I look fat in this dress?", she asked when I didnt reply to her calling.

I looked up to see her staring back at me hopefully. I knew what she wanted to hear and I very well knew what Aaron must have said.Idiot!!

"You look amazing Ester!! Why dont you even I ask", I said trying to sound as enthusiatic as I can.

A wide smile spread across her face which soon fell. "But Aaron...", she continued but I cut her off in between.

"You know how guys are...All are idiots", I said waving my hand in front of her.

I could see Aaron now standing at the kitchen door with a pleading look on his face.I rolled my eyes at him and turned to Ester again.

"And you know how nervous he gets around you", I said with a wink.

"Exactly baby, after all you are so hot", Aaron said coming in embracing her from behind.

Ester stuggled in his embrace but he only tightened his grip around her.

"Common baby, dont spoil your mood. I have awesome suprise stored for you", he winked.

Ester blushed at his comment and for me I felt like puking.

"Enough you two, now please go", I said pushing both of them.

"You are jealous", Aaron said grinning.

"Remember what you said till you have your next fight", I said with a smirk.

"Now stop it, lets leave Aaron", Ester said walking out of the kitchen with Aaron following her not before giving me a quick and mouthing a thank you.

I smiled as they both left. They made a perfect couple, atleast not when they are fighting....
