I ran straight in the door as I got home. I yelled hi to my dad who was ironing and charged up to my room. Immediately, i yanked the small piece of paper out of my pocket, eager to ring Ashton. He's my sunshine, after all. My hand was shaking so much I couldn't even type in the phone number. As soon as it rang, my heart started to race. What would I say? Before I could panic, I heard a kangaroo on the other end of the phone.
"Hello. It's Eloise, isn't it?" His voice flowed right into my ears and it made me so happy. He said my name!
"Hey, and call me El, I prefer that" I stuttered, smiling.
"Sure thing honey."
Biting my lip, thoughts whizzed around my head. What do I say now? I panicked. I had to say SOMETHING. Eventually, I choked out a laugh. Greatttt.
"So, how are you doing?" I could see his smile in my head just by the expression in his voice.
"Meh, same old I guess. Yourself?"
"I'm doing great, thanks. Thank you for having me, you were really sweet, even though you didn't say much"
"Yeah, I'm a bit... shy around people that mean the world to me."
"You're too cute babe."
An hour and a half later, I had to end the call because we were going out for tea. I skipped down the stairs with a huge smile on my face.
"What's made you so happy?" my dad asked. He probably thought I was on drugs or something.
"Ashton Irwin."
