Crystals prov:
Rumours spread, too quick in my opinion. Word got around too almost everyone about hunter and Noah, they avoid each other like the plague. Their worst nightmare would be too face each other and share an actual conversation. Things spiralled out of control and before we knew it everyone was out for each other.
It was all complicated, no one knew who to trust whom and things got around faster than you could possibly think off, lies or not everyone believed it and no one forgot anything, they knew all the minor details. Once they were spread no one left anything out, they all added their own things onto it too and made it the most exaggerated as they could whilst trying to sound believable. It's insane how much a word could spread in the matter of minutes, in fact no in matter of seconds.
"Hey." I was brought back out of my gaze by the sound of Hunters voice ringing in the air. I didn't reply I just kept my head down hoping that his prying eyes would turn to take interest in something else but obviously it's me, and nothing good seems to head my way.
He notices my unresponsive mood and smoothly falls into trance with my step; both of our feet moving in perfect sync. It's terrifying how much some stuff can change, like how Harvey, Justin, skylar and Katie were all I had and now I barely even know who they are. They are long forgotten but as they all say, we've all got to face our demons at some point and now they only people I revolve myself around is Hunter and Noah. The two who are so close yet so far apart.
My mind begins to spin on all kinds of levels, why is jack back? He was supposed to not be here and all the sudden he's associated with Harvey?! What could he possibly want from him? However, right now the only people that matter are Hunter and Noah. I'm not their best friend or anything but I believe in seeing the best and people even if it's for people I don't normally associate myself with.
"Who's the girl?" I ask eager to know the answer. Looking up too his tall figure he looks down to my petite size with his eyes riddled with uncertainty and surprise.
"It doesn't matter." His response was short and quick as if he was determined to change the subject.
"Well obviously it does since your losing your best friend over her." I state pushing for more answers as if I was compelled to know more.
"I will fix it but as of now it doesn't matter, can we not just have a normal conversation without bringing anyone else into it?" I could sense the annoyance radiating off him as he quickens his pace. He looks over his shoulder and down at me nodding his head in a forward motion expecting me to follow in his sudden change of walk. I follow closely behind wondering why he's in such a rush to get out of the hallway, temptation to look behind me grew stronger as I took a sneaky glance. Noah wasn't far behind looking at us with a glance that wasn't familiar. I shoot him a quick smile as he returns it almost immediately.
I turn my head to face the right way and focus my eyes onto hunters back, he misses him I know it, it's about time they put whoever this girl is behind them and move on. A classroom door is opened and I was pulled into the room, Hunter found his way to a desk and sat down messing around with a pencil that was left peacefully on the desk. I shut the door behind me and prop myself up onto the teachers desk. No one was in here yet since everyone was on free study period so most of the classrooms that were occupied for our year group was up for grabs.
Many took this opportunity to mess about with friends but others chose the time to get a quite study room for an hour yet in our case we took the time to talk about pretty much everything.
"This girl you both seem to care so much for, is she worth it?" I question trying my best to avoid contact by clicking the top of the pen repeatedly.
"I suppose so yeah, she ain't like all the others, she doesn't care what she looks like or how others proceed to see her, she's just herself and I guess me and Noah are attracted to that." He answers as he shrugs his shoulders trying to play off as if he doesn't care.
"Why don't you forget about her and try to move on? Someone has to be the bigger person."
"It's not that easy, if it was I would've seized that opportunity in a heart beat but nope, life decides it wanted to pull out the big guns and be a twat." He scoffs and looks out of the window as if he was looking for answers. Is this how it's going to be from now on?
Hey! I've not wrote in forever and I'm sorry for that, I've just had my exams and I've been studying and revising for it, you know how it gets. This chapter is shorter than normal but I will upload another chapter very soon.
