Aisling stood up , brushed the grass off her skirt, and set off . She was walking to the graveyard.

As she walked she gathered a fistful of daisies and dandelions from the ground . She carried these with her until she arrived at the back of the church. Aisling walked past the familiar graves towards the one she was looking for.

HERE LIES HILDA EDWARDS 1801-1889. R.I.P

Aisling set the flowers down and sat cross-legged in from of her grave stone. She put her hands together and glanced at the sky, before closing her eyes.

"Thank you for offering comfort and kindness to me , during such a difficult time. Thank you for helping me , for feeding me and caring for me. Thank you for being there in a time so lonely. Thank you Hilda." Aisling whispered quietly.

Tears began streaming down her face before she could wipe them away . Oh god what a mess I am , she thought. Aisling looked up to the sky again and imagined Hilda up there with all of her family. I wonder if she's met my parents ?

Aislings parents didn't have a grave. They never found their bodies and so there was nothing to bury. Aisling would have liked to visit their grave (if they had one).

At this thought Aisling cried harder and balled her hands into fists. She thumped her fists against the dirt and practically screamed her sobs.

"I MISS YOU " Aisling screamed at the clouds.

"WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?" she screamed again.

On hearing this , the priest walked over to see what was causing such a fuss .

"What's going on here?" He asked in a gentle tone.

"Nothing it's n..nothing sir" she answered , shivering with sobs.

"Are you alright?"

"F...fine sir"

" would you like to come inside dear?" . He gestured towards the church.

"I have to go, I've got to get home" she lied.

"Aah don't worry then dear. Are you sure you're alright ?"

" I'll be fine sir " she assured him. Another lie.

"Why did you want me to come in anyway?" She pressed.

"I've seen you outside my church every Sunday! I thought maybe the crowds bothered you. That's why I thought it'd be nice for u to finally come inside."he replied thoughtfully.

"Well ..uh maybe another ..uh time sir"

"Of course dear."

"Goodbye sir " she called as she wandered "home".
