In the End-Linkin Park

2 years later
"Zayn I swear to god if you-" I began but was cut off as he poured a bucket full of water over my head.
Drenching my white shirt that concealed my bikini. The water was cold even in the sun.
"You're dead!" I scream as I chased him around the yard laughing and giggling.
Him being faster than me jogs around the yard with his long legs as I struggle to keep up with my short ones.
We have been friends for two years, ever since I met him in my Edgenuity class we became instant friends.
He then warned me about his old group. He said they were not the ones to associate with...
"C'mon Malik pleasssee" I plead giving him my best puppy dog face.
"That doesn't work on me James." He chuckles ruffling my hair leaving me in a pout. I only ever allowed him to call me by my last name.
He had a whole can of Dr. Pepper and he wouldn't share. I tried buying it off him with 2 nickels but he said he wanted that times 30. Tbh I don't know what that is...
"C'mon just a little sip." I try one last time.
"Ugh fine. Hey do wanna go to the mall-" he was soon cutoff by a boy with a few lads around him.
"Hey Malik. Long time no see eh?" A boy with brown hair and eyes with a kind smile said looking Zayn up and down.
"I wonder why, Payne." Zayn said flatly. I was still drinking the Dr. Pepper and did not intend to stop.
"Come on Malik don't be like that." This time it came from a dyed blonde boy with blue eyes. He was currently eating a bag of potato chips being careful with the braces evident in his mouth.
They were all attractive. Which made me feel insecure. There were two others. A boy with light brown hair and blue eyes who looked to be the youngest. And the last boy had curly brown hair and green eyes. He was really cute.
They soon left after a staring math between the pot named Payne and Zayn, "What was that about." I say handing the empty can to Zayn. He glared playfully before disposing of the tin can.
"Old drama. Nothing new really." I nod not really knowing what boy drama was like.
"The blue-eyed blonde and curly were really cute." I say mostly to myself.
"Hey," he stops me as we were heading to the library, "I want you to stay away from them. It's best not to associate with them."
I nod not really caring. I'm not the best with guys.
Present day.
I tackle Zayn to the ground. He went down with me clutching his back.
"Ha ha ha look who is down now!" I yell triumphantly.
"That was a horrible saying don't..just don't." He laughs flipping us over and pinning me to the ground. The back of my shirt was still wet with cold water pressed into my back. I winced at the coldness.
It was finally summer and Zayn and I decided to hang at his place for the day. It took me forever to convince my dad we were just friends.
