"That's," Jac says "So messed up." He looks up at me and I see tears in his eyes. "It's the sad truth. There are people like that in the world." I reply. I lift up my shirt to reveal the scar above my heart. "Do you think they're still after you?" Jac asks as I put my shirt down. "Maybe. I know that I have to get this power under control or..." I look at Jay, who went to sleep twenty minutes ago. "I think I can help you. I just have to call a friend. You need to tell him all of this too." He grabs his cell phone. "Oh yeah," He tosses something at me and I catch it. "You can have that back." I look down to see my phone in hand. Memories flash through my mind as I remember being in that dog crate.

I feel my breaths getting heavier. Suddenly, the lights go out, and my phone glitches. "Whoa!" He says, looking at me. I struggle to keep the electricity inside. It claws from the inside, pleading to get out. I feel a hand grasp my wrist. I look up into Jac's face. "Seia, calm down. It's okay now." He says as he smiles. I let out a sigh of relief. "I think we should give our friend a name." He says as he chuckles. "Friend?" I ask. "Your electricity or whatever." He replies.

He starts to give names. "Sparky, electro, spike..." He continues but I block him out. "Denki," I say, interrupting him. "What?" He blinks. "It's Japanese for 'electrical.'" I say as I smile. He smiles back and nods. "Denki it is." He says.

***A few hours later, Jac ends a call he made to a friend. He convinced him to come to his house. "Are you sure about this?" I ask. He nods. The doorbell rings. He smiles as he goes downstairs. I sigh. I look up as I hear them coming up the stairs. I gasp. "Zach?"

"Seia?" He says, his eyes widening. "You two know each other?" Jac asks, his eyes flicking between Zach and me. I nod. I pull Jac aside. "This is a bad idea. Can't this wait until tomorrow?" I whisper. He shakes his head. He turns back to Zach. "Seia, this is my cousin, Zach." He says as he throws his arms around Zach's shoulders. "So were you just trying to come back here?" He asks, shaking Jac's arm off. His tone says he's irritated. "Or was it for something else?" He glare shoots daggers. I don't respond.

"Jac. I told you, this isn't a good idea." I say quietly. He looks at me as if to say 'You need help.' His eyes apologize. "What?" Zach says, his tone softening a little. Jac grabs him by the shoulders and makes Zach face him. "Look, Zach, we need a little help. I only trust you with this." He says. "Jac. No." I say. Denki jumps around in my body. "You need help Seia!" Jac says loudly. His face looks like he's about to cry again. "Jac. Please." I hear my voice crack.

Denki pleads to be released. "J-Jac," I say. "What?" He asks. "Denki-" I say, but before I can finish, electricity shoots through me and hits the wall. It only leaves a burn mark. "Jac. This isn't good. You know we shouldn't bring more people into this." I say breathlessly. Zach stares at me. My body tells me to just let go, to release Denki. "We need to do this now," Jac says as he grabs Zach and me by the wrist and drags us outside.

He drags us through a small forest behind his house and into a clearing. "Release him here," Jac says and he lets go. "Jac, it's not enough. It's too small. I'll destroy the entire forest." I say. "Then don't." He says. "You think it's that easy?" I shout. He shoves Zach in front of me. "Don't hit him." He says. "Wait, what? I didn't agree to this." Zach says defensively. "Jac, electricity goes in random directions. I can't just tell it what to hit and what not to hit." I say, stepping back from Zach.

"Denki is yours. Not anybody else's. Control him." He says, stepping back. I look at Zach. "Wait, you're not actually planning to-" He looks at Jac, who's nodding. "No," Zach says. "I said I would pay you fifty dollars for you to assist me with something. You agreed. Now go stand over there." He points. Zach's face sinks. "Right." He says as he walks to where Jac said. "Don't hit him," Jac repeats. "Only let out a little." I look at him. "I can't. I don't have any control over Denki." I say. "Then show Denki who's boss." He responds. I sigh. I turn to Zach. I mouth the words 'I'm sorry.' and I let Denki out.
