Almost There...

It's the 3rd week of the month. Still 9 more weeks before we're out. The familiar sound of the ring of a bell. The loud familiar sound of the ring of a bell. The tests become harder, the classes seem longer, projects start coming in like there's no tomorrow. The teacher's gossip is louder, the rumors begin to appear and disappear, over and over. New units start every other week, it seems. The same kids from the months before, the same classrooms, same teachers, same everything. I can't wait for the next year.

4 more weeks, till we get out. There seem to be fewer announcements this time around. The time seems to pass by fast. More projects, but fewer tests. The teachers seem to care less of what they talk about. Kids don't care who they push, trying to get to class at least a minute before the bell, talking to their friends. People standing there, yelling over everyone, catching their attention. Teachers drone on about the lesson, making mistakes every now and then.

2 weeks left. The time had passed by too fast, the sudden change in the atmosphere, teachers craming things in before they pass out study guides. One last test is given out before the end of the week- summerizing everything you learned over the year. The last goodbyes to seniors and to thoes moving. No longer procrastonating anymore, since the due date is Friday. Seniors going over what collage they got accepted into and what their essay has to be about. Not much has changed, but we all know that it will soon.

1 week left. The slight adreniline, the quizlets and kahoots made to review for finals. Talking to friends you know you wont see, passing numbers, bittwesweet memories. Talking about the summer plans you've made, making plans you know won't go through. Going over study guides, not skipping class, making trying to bring your grade up before it's too late. Teachers going over one last unit that should have been taught long ago. Party plans being made, graduation, quince and sweet 16's invites being passed around. You know once everyone's out those doors the last day, no one will come back the same. But deep inside, a small piece of hope still hangs on, thinking "everyone's going to be th same when they come back, and no one will have dissapeared last minuet" but knowing you're telling yourself lies for comfort.

3 days left. The sun is out, slightly cloudy, which is better than the past rainy days. Everyone had been craming for finals. Sleepless nights all over again, thinking "is it really worth it?" and realising you'd rather be in bed, so that's what you do. Sloppy work is being done, not much effort is given by many. Party planning in classrooms, as it's their last day together. Last-moinuet review for those tests that are not yet taken.

Last day. Everyone's excited, mostly. The fresh air of the summer breez, knowing they won't have to go back, for at least 3 months. Macbooks and tablets are taken back, kids whine, while others pay up for damages. It's almost like the beginning of the year, except no one was happy to be here other than the fact that their friend was with them. No one had any bags. Many waited outside for their friends, to eat together, before everything would change as they feared. Teachers, saying goodbye, their favorite kid is leaving them, or they're leaving their job, either or, we all leave the same way, out the doors, and into our homes...

Hey guys, it's been a while.

this story isn't 100% of what happens with me at my school , i take bits and pieces of what my friends tell me about their school and what I see online. If anyone has anything they want me to add and I see it resonable, I shall, so comment below.

By the time this has been published, it's probably my last day or i've been out for a while. I lost inspiration half way, and I didn't want it to be unfinished cause then i'd be unsatisfied. I'm going to be inactive for a while, as I'm going to travel a bit during the summer, so if you want to know how that's going, you should add me on instagram: latte.chai_tea , it's my meme account, and for pretty ovbious reasons, I won't be giving out my personal one. (if i end up changing it, update it here too)
