会長と獣 - School President and the Beast

CHAPTER I

*krriing krriing*, my alarm cries. I searched my phone while my eyes are closed. I touched my bed around as if I'm groping it just to find my ringing phone. As I grasped it I slowly opened my eyes and look for what I have to swipe for it to snooze and went back to sleep.

Ten minutes later, it rang again. "Ah geez... so annoying." I said with a sleepy tired voice. I closed my eyes for a minute and quickly opened it wide again. "F*ck what's the time?!", I quickly grabbed my phone and checked what time it was. It says 07:13. Oh darn. I'm f*cked up. The opening ceremony is today... Maybe I'll just skip it. Yeah. A very nice start of my high school life... good, very good Ayumi... a loud applause just for you.

I quickly went to the bathroom and washed my face and brushed my teeth. Good thing I already took a bath yesterday evening.

Before putting on the uniform,  I took a look on it. "So it starts huh. Maybe I should start anew.", I sighed and put it on. Seriously, what a marvelous way of welcoming my high school.

I went downstairs and no one is around. Well of course that's a given, because I live alone. I just inherited the house from my late father and some savings on the bank. I could actually have a luxury life but I rather not. I also start having a part time job during Tuesdays and Wednesdays on a convenient store.

The ceremony starts at 7:30 and the current time is 7:34 and I'm still at home. I would need 20 minutes to go by feet. I'll just take it leisurely... I'm already late anyways. So what's the big deal. I'm such a bad influence, sorry but not sorry.

It was about the time to leave the house and go to school.

I arrived at school at exactly 8:00 and the gate was already closed. Looks like I have to go over the gate or the wall... seriously... so early in the morning and I have to do this? Well Ayumi whose fault is this? Dumb self.

As I approached the gate, there was already someone who jumped off. He is the same year as me. Black necktie.

I also jumped over the wall and as I landed, I caught his attention. He turned around after he heard me landing. I think that's a reflex.

"Ayu-chan?"

What? How did he know my name?

I put on my invisible barrier.

"Who are you?", I asked.

"It's me, Riku!"

Riku??? Who's Riku???

"No way you've already forgotten about me? Well it was eight years ago since we last saw each other..."

Eight years ago... Riku... I slowly started recollecting memories.

"Riku... Ah! Riku!!! Our neighbor?!", I finally remembered.

"Yeah, I came back yesterday. I wanted to check on you but it was already midnight when I arrived."

Riku... I heard he moved to America 8 years ago. Guess now he's back... he was my childhood friend and tgen suddenly he had to leave...

"Why did you come back?"

"I wanted to live here again. My brother came with me. He has his own company here so it's not so bad for him to come back with me."

"Heeh~ so Leon nii-chan is also here."

"What? You only miss him?"

"Huh?? Don't kid me. I miss neither of you." I started walking and went inside the school. The ceremony has probably ended. Good thing I know which class I am.

"Don't leave me! We are both late so we're now partners in crime!", he winked. Oh goosebumps.

"Don't follow me!"
