Crystal's POV

Melody and I listened to the conversation that we could faintly hear around the corner.

"You cannot be serious you want to talk to her like you did before she left you!"

Melody and I looked at each other really confused. We didn't want to look around the corner out of fear of being caught by who was down the hall.

"Why is that such a bad thing!"

"You said you would leave her behind when you agreed to be our friend!"

"I never agreed! You guys forced me to join! I don't know why you made me the leader cause I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS!!"

Who ever was around the corner was really upset. I knew their voices from somewhere but I couldn't put my finger on who is was. Then is clicked and the same for Melody we looked at each other and knew it was the group that had stopped us in the hall. I decided to take the risk and looked a round the corner and sure enough is was them. The guy that I used to be close to was cornered by everyone else and they were yelling at him too. I assumed that is was about me and I was right.

"You have to make a decision Brian it's us or them."

You could tell when he said "them" he wasn't happy. He sounded like we had done something to him to make him hate us, but when I asked Melody she couldn't think of anything.

"I'd choose them over you any day."

"Fine we never needed you anyway."

Brian started walking down the hall in our direction and we panicked. We both ran as fast as we could to the nearest girls restroom or somewhere we would be out of sight. Thankfully we were able to get out of sight before he turned the corner.

After school

When I got home I went to my room and thought about what I had overheard at school. He left his friend group for me or someone else? Did he really value our friendship that much? I couldn't be sure but I was starting to have a feeling we could be like siblings again, but there was always the thought of he's only doing this to hurt you. I was able to clear my head enough to go to bed but as soon as I put my head on my pillow I got a text for a number I had never seen before, but what shocked me was what the message said.
