Alex's POV:

I was playing video games with my mates, which in all honesty was all I'd really done for the past couple of days. Perrie hadn't spoken to me since the argument, despite the fact that I'd texted her a few times. I'd even apologised, though maybe a little half-heartedly. In the end, I decided that, fine, so be it. If she wanted to be immature and moody and take this too far then let her. She would soon come around.

The lads asked me if I wanted to go for another round - probably about the fiftieth in a row at this point. I was about to say yes when my phone rang, the noise spilling out of my pocket.

"I'll take a pass on this one boys, back in a bit." I notified them.

I took off the bulky headset and pulled out my phone. It was Jesy. This was a disappointment for two reasons: one, it wasn't Perrie, and two, she would not be happy with me as she would almost certainly know what had happened. However, despite my hesitance, I decided that honestly, I should answer it.

"Um, hello?" I said apprehensively.

"Hello lover boy, don't worry I'm not calling to have a go at you for being a massive prick." Jesy replied.

I laughed half heartedly, "Yeah I messed up but-"

"Alex, I genuinely don't care." She interrupted.

"Oh, sorry." I replied, a little taken aback. "Um, not to be rude but why are you calling?"

She sighed, "Perrie hasn't been into the studio when she was supposed to be for the past couple of days. We're pretty pissed off but also a bit worried about her so I've been instructed to call you to find out if you've spoken to her."

"What?" I asked, my heart suddenly dropping in shock.

"Do I have to fucking repeat myself, Jesus."

"No, sorry, it's just- I just-" I stuttered.

"Yes I know, you're worried cause you were a fucking dickhead and now she's gone AWOL and you feel guilty." She replied coldly.

Angrily, I spat back. "Actually, no I'm worried because that's my fucking girlfriend that's gone AWOL. Look, I know you don't like me right now and I don't even blame you, but at least have a little respect for me. I love her and you know that."

"Alright, sorry." She replied apologetically. She sighed, "But have you heard from her at all, or seen her?"

"No I haven't seen her since Monday. We had an argument and she stormed out my house." I explained.

"And she hasn't texted you either?" She asked.

"Erm," I mumbled, heading into my messages with her. I had to scroll down the conversation to find the most recent message and the loved-up texts made my heart hurt and a pang of guilt form in my heart. Then, I saw the last text.

"No, she hasn't texted me since before she left my house." I replied to Jesy, without really concentrating on what I was saying. All I could focus on was that text - that horrible text that made me sick to my stomach and foreshadowed my downfall. Just seeing it reminded me of what a self-entitled prick I'd been, thinking that she was 'making it into something'. She had every right to be upset and I'd just been too arrogant to see otherwise.
