I talked with Sam and Ash for a little while after Dr. Ruth had left, going to do her rounds. "So are you two ready for Softball?" I asked with a knowing smirk, as I looked at Sam.
Sam rolled his eyes and just grinned. "What? The girls at your school are hot," he replied innocently.
I burst out laughing, amused at what he had said. "Oh my gosh, you are 10 years old. You should think that they-"
Someone cleared their throat behind me, making me look to see a female. Her green eyes were wide a little, and she had this nervous look about her. "Ms. Jessica?" she asked. She ran a hand along the nape of her neck, pushing up her brown curly hair.
Her name is Connie Weiss. and she has been working at the hospital since she was 18, as an intern. Now, she was 23 years old and still an intern, but now she's in her 2nd year of college.
I raised an eyebrow, wondering why she was so cautious. "Yes, what is it?" I asked. My whole body tensed a little. I have no idea why, but I guess it's a hunch that I might or might not like what she was going to say. "And didn't I tell you to call me Jess or Aunt Jess?" I asked with a mock scowl, trying to lighten the mood.
Connie let a small smile appear on her lips before she sighed. "I, actually we, need your help. There is this new boy. He is awake, but he wasn't when he was in the ambulance. We tried to get him to talk, but he is just... silent and stiff like he was just... stone. Anyways, his wounds are healing a little quick, and I guess we can say that we are at lost."
I nodded my head and sighed, knowing that I was going to have to cut this meeting short. I glanced at at Ash and Sam. "I-"
"Just go help out this new person," Sam said with a teasing scowl. "I want to hear about it next week." He gave me an innocent look, trying to hide back a smirk.
I shook my head and laughed. "You are too cute for your own good. And I'll come Saturday." I glanced at Ash. "And I'm treating you to dinner. No buts." With that I grabbed my bag and nodded my head to Connie. "Let's go."
Connie nodded her head and started to walk out. When we were in the hall, she talked about everything that she knew about the kid. She, also, talked about what had happened.
I tried to listen, I really did, but all I could think about was that he might be a rogue wolf and that maybe David will be going to see him. I grunted a little annoyed and shook my head. I didn't need this right now. All I needed was a break to get my thoughts in order. However, that might not happen, unless I leave Kansas.

I took a deep breath and knocked on the male's door before I went in. I saw a male, looking about 18, watching me with brown eyes that almost looked black. His black hair had that bad boy look to and bushy. I could see where he had been hurt, and I knew that Werewolves had that ability to heal themselves, even in human form. "Hi, I'm Jessica Wallace," I said forcing a smile on my face. "You may call me either, Aunt Jess or Ms. Wallace." I just earned a blink from the silent boy. I sighed a little, before turning to look at Connie. "Think you can get me my guitar?" I asked raising an eyebrow.
Connie frowned and then looked at the male. I could tell that she was nervous of leaving me alone with him. "But..."
"Relax, I'll be fine. Even with bruised ribs and a black eye." I shrugged my shoulder. I knew how to handle myself. I wouldn't do the things I do if I didn't.
Connie glanced at me and then at the male, nervously.. "All right..." she said before going out of the room. She paused and looked back at me. "I don't like this idea, though." She shook her head before walking out, going to do what I had asked her to do.
