Chapter 6: The Grove

Ghastly Grove, Near the centre of the mindscape.

The gang had been walking for a few days and have crossed many borders and barriers like rivers and swamps, lakes and valleys. They had been walking through the swampy area of the grove towards the small hut near the centre of it. Where the Warlock lives.

R: Here it is. The Warlock Hut.

V: We should knock, he won't know we're here otherwise--

The door creaked open and standing before them was indeed the Wise Warlock of the grove, they all stood in shock.

V: s-sir...

W.W: Yes young children, how may I help you?

R: We were hoping for your advice, sir.

???: Dad? Who's there?

W.W: Some kids, son.

Remy peered out from behind his father and looked at the group of boys.

V: Remy!

Re: Virgy!

It was an adorable reunion of the two sharing a hug between the two of them.

Re: It's been so long. How are you?

V: Ok. The county was attacked last week but mum's ok. 

Re: Sorry to hear about that.

Ro: Sir?

Roman was talking to the warlock after explaining the aim of the group and what they were trying to do.

W.W: You want to try and change the mind and show people that everyone can get along but you need the help of my son to do this.

Ro: Please?

W.W: Well... I'm not sure if I want him to get hurt out there. Remy can't defend himself.

Ro: Have you ever seen him try?

W.W: No. And I don't think that he can. I'll have to see it to believe it.

And with that, a violent stampede of feet could be heard and within seconds, Elves and Vampires appeared and began attacking the group. Patton being able to defend himself and the others perfectly. Virgil got caught between four of the attackers and began struggling. Remy ran into the house.

W.W: Remy.

Re: I need to grab something.

He went to his room and came back out with a pole weapon.

W.W: Re--

He began to attack the elves and vamps with the pole, Virgil got out the armed struggle and managed to help Remy fight off the rest. Everyone was busy. Logan was knocking them out and Roman was busy wounding them. Patton was just fending them off.

The battle continued for what seemed to be ages before the small group rained victorious. They stood, out of breath and panting.

L: Well... that went--

R: WAIT!

They stopped and looked at Roman who as looking around, scared out of his mind.

R: Where's Virgil?!
