Ghastly Grove, Near the centre of the mind.

They had been walking for 5 weeks now. They had started at the edge of the Forgotten Forest and had been travelling ever since. Through the Mealy Marine, the Barred Baracks, which they thought to be haunted but it was really some rando that Logan beat up for pissing them off (really him but) and they ended up running home to their mummy causing the other four to run out of there. And they had been crossing multiply boundaries since then, even the witch county and they found the witch thaumaturge searching the rest of the county for any designated surivors after the fire. Virgil broke away from the group to look at the damage caused. They were searching his part of the village, his house to be presise, and much to his releife saw someone limping out of a singed hut. The woman looked as if she was in her 20's and was wearing a similar outfit to his and was asking almost everyone there the same question: Have You Seen My Son?  Virgil walked up to the woman and pulled her sleeve. She turned and opened her mouth to ask the same question she'd been asking for weeks when she stopped.

V: Mum? You look awful.

She was staring at him for a good minute before she wrapped her arms around her little man, she had began to lose hope thinking that she had lost her son in the mass fire that spread through out the town she though he was in school and the schools being the most targetted and thought her darling boy was gone. But he was right here in her arms. Safe and sound, sure she needed medical attention but that didn't matter to her. Her son was here, back in her care and unharmed by those malicious, no good vampires!

But now wasn't a time to be mad. Right now was a time to cherish for the rest of her days and that neither of them shall forget that no matter what. Loved ones are to be cherished.

Mrs.A: Virgy I thought you were-

V: I know but I'm A-OK. You should get some help.

Just then a shaman walked up to them and examined his mother.

Shaman: You OK there lady?

Mrs.A: I'm fine, just a bit of health problems thats all.

Shaman: We should get thee some medical attention.

The Shaman began to lead his mother to a medical hut when Virgil placed his hand on her shoulder.

V: I... need to speak with my mother in private if that's ok.

The Shaman left without another word and Mrs. A spun around to look at her child.

Mrs.A: What's on your mind, deary

V: I nee to go again. And this time I... won't be back for a while.

Mrs.A: Why's that? You just got back and you're leaving again.

V: Mum..

Virgil pulled his mother aside to talk to her, this would be difficult to tell her but he had to do it for the sake of the future of this mindpalace.

V: Remember what I told you last month after i returned from the fairy hospital? I wanted to make a change in this world and that might take a while but I can do it with the help of my friends and that may take a while... years to be precise.

Mrs.A: why though.

V: because this way of living isn't safe or healthy for anyone or anything anymore. This *gestures to the scene around them* right here? Isn't a place people can live in. It's not a home or a life. Just a war zone and there are people fighting and fearing for their lives every second of every day of their lives. Some one has to do something.

They stood in silence. Before his mother began to laugh. Virgil just looked at her confused as ever.

Mrs.A: You know, you're grandmother always told me that you would grow up to do good things. She also said one of those things could change the world.

V: I guess I am a do gooder.

They laughed and Virgil cupped his mothers cheeks.

V: I need to go though.

He let her go and pecked her cheecks.

V: I love you.

Mrs.A: I love you too, storm baby.

Virgil felt his heart swell at the name he had since he was a baby

--FLASHBACK--

He had been crying for 2 hours straight and reaking straight up havock in his grandmothers hut and let me tell you. It was 5 am and the entire witch county was complaining about the noise coming from the apothecary house.

Aunty: He's been crying for what seems to be ages.

Mrs. A: Virgil just need attention and a good looking after.

Uncle: The neighbours are gonna kill us.

Aunty: He's brewing up a storm alright.

Gran: Little storm baby.

Mrs. A: What was that Mum?

Gran: He's a storm baby.

--FLASHBACK ENDS--

Mrs. A: She had you all figured out, your gran. Too bad she couldn't stick around to see you grow.

V: I know.

Mrs. A: But, she'd be so proud of you.

She had a look on her face as if she remembered something, before pulling out a purple gem attached to a chain.

Mrs. A: This is Witch Amethyst, just take the chain off your neck and throw the stone at your feet, it would create a protective barrier around you and anything near you. Otherwise, wearing it around your neck would protect you.

V: Thanks, Mum.

Virgil wrapped his mum in a hug before pulling out of her grasp and beggining to walk off.

Mrs.A: Virgil?

He turned to look at his mother.

Mrs.A: Make this mindscape proud, storm baby. I love you.

V: Love you too, mum.

He took off into the forest wearing the gem around his neck, the next time they would see each other, it would either be in the after life, or in a mindscape of happy mythics living in harmony. Either way. It would be a while till they saw eachother again. They just couldn't wait till they did.

Virgil found the rest of the group and they set off again to the Grove to find the Warlock.
