The states in between you and me,
Feel like an unforgiving sea.
It's as though our ship called friend,
Is coming to a bitter end.
After distance, comes waves of time,
Taking the memories which used to be yours and mine.
The lighting has struck our ship like a sword,
We're all going overboard,
Lost in the sea I'll always be
Until I meet another ship passing me.
Our friendship won't always be, ours to claim.
And the next ship called friend, won't be the same
But, when we all live in the skies one day,
I know you'll never leave, but always stay.
