When you feel as though you've lost a friend,
You know a broken heart, time will mend.
But still that doesn't seem to be enough,
Trust me lass, right now the waves are tough.Just always keep the shore in your eye,
For there's solid ground,
and in the waves you will not die.
But even in the black of night,
Look up, 'cause there's always starlight.Remember our ships not lost at sea,
It'll be a while before we board her,
Promise me, best friends we'll always be.
Now with that promise in mind,
We'll make a truce:
With each other, time we'll always find.Even though we are miles away,
Deep down inside best friends we'll always stay.
Maybe someday when my family I start,
We won't any longer hafta' be apart.Cling to the stars in the sky,
Ignore the darkness and the deep.
For someday the knot I will tie,
And our ship we'll board again
and no longer will we weep.
