Today was the day Brad was bringing me out on the date. I took Layla for a walk around the park earlier in the day and spent the rest of my day with her.

It was now 7:30PM, Brad was coming over now as we were meant to be leaving. However my parents were minding Layla for the night and they were delayed getting over.

Before I could even text Brad there was a knock at my door. I opened it with Layla on my hip.

'Come in, my parents are caught up in traffic.' I told her as he came in.

'That's no problem.' He said before turning to Layla.

'Hello gorgeous.' He cooed causing her to let out a chuckle.

She was wearing the outfit he had bought for her. I'd sent him a photo of her in it earlier before we went to the park.

I loved the photo of her as well as the outfit on her.

'Will you hold her a second til I put my shoes on?' I asked as he nodded and took her.

He sat on the sofa with her as they played with her toys. I watched the two as they bonded, Layla trying to talk to him as he talked to her.

As I was in my room I heard voices in the living room. When I returned I saw my parents and Brad sat on the sofa having a conversation.

'Hello love.' My mum chirped as I walked in. I smiled and went over to Layla.

'Heyo my beautiful girl.' I cooed as I lifted her.

I decided to change her into her pyjamas as sometimes she gets unsettled when she's getting changed.

'So I take it you've introduced yourselves.' I say as Brad hands me her pyjamas that were on the table.

'We have indeed.' My dad replied as he smiled at Brad. They seemed to have already clicked which didn't surprise me seeing as Brad was a gentleman.

After some conversation with my parents it was now 8PM so we decided to leave so we weren't back too late.

My dad offered to drop us into the town instead of having to get a taxi. As we were in the car my dad and Brad were full of conversation with each other.

We thanked my dad as he left us, as we got out of the car we began to walk down the cobbled street.

His hand brushed past mine and slowly grabbed my hand and interlocked his hand with mine.

'Is this okay?' He asked looking at me for reassurance I nodded, not hiding the smile that formed on my face.

He brought me into a fancy restaurant on the outskirts of the town. We walked through the door, the restaurant wasn't too crowded, a few couples and families scattered throughout the open space.

'Hello table for two please.' Brad told the waiter that had greeted us.

He lead us to a table near the back of the restaurant. Once we sat down he had a look at the menu.

We made small talk as we decided what we would have to eat before the same waiter approached us and took our orders, shortly after brining us a gin each.

'So what made you ask me out tonight?' I asked causing him to tense.

'I am, I'm going to be honest. That day I knocked on your door you attracted me. I was thinking about the girl across the hall. The more I got to know you, the more I was thinking about you. And then when we developed more of a friendship and I got to know you better I realised how much I liked you.' He said with a small blush.
