'It's Christmas!'
'Santas been!'
'Mama, dada!'
These were a few of the exclamations me and Brad were awoken to.
'Merry Christmas my princesses!' Brad said as he sat up and pulled them in between us in our bed.
He placed kisses to the girls heads before he gave me a quick kiss.
'Merry Christmas.' I said as I pulled them all in for a family hug, of course Simba now joined us on the bed.
'Shall I check if Santa's been?' He asked as the girls nodded eagerly.
Brad threw on a pair of grey joggers as I put on one of his hoodies.
We went to the stairs where I waited on the top one with Layla next to me and Bella on my lap.
Brad had went down to check if Santa had been, with Simba following him down.
'He's been!' He said as he reappeared at the bottom of the stairs.
I gasped as Layla clapped in excitement.
'Okay oldest first, Layla lead the way.' I told her as she lead the way down to Brad.
Before we all got down the stairs Brad had moved into the living room so he could video them.
'Come in girls.' He croaked, his morning voice evident.
Layla went through the door with Bella right behind her.
'Bella look! You got a princess build a bear!' Layla exclaimed, showing her sister her presents.
'Looks Lays, is that one on your sofa too?' I gasped, pointing to her sofa.
She ran towards her sofa as she admired everything on it.
Bella didn't know what to do, she watched her sister as she began to grab all of the different presents and pull them off of the sofa to inspect them.
'Look Bella,' Brad said as he came over, 'look at all your new toys.'
He sat on his knees next to her and began to take each toy and show her them before she began copy him.
I went over to Layla where you she was stood shocked over some toys she had asked for and some she was surprised with.
'Mama, look! Santa got me dresses.' She told me as she lifted them.
'Oh my aren't they gorgeous!' I said as I looked at the princess dresses now in my hands.
'Who wants pancakes for breakfast?' Brad shouted from the kitchen.
'Me!' Both girls exclaimed, excited for pancakes.
All four of us sat at the table, tucking into our pancakes as Simba sat near eating from her bowel.
Me and Brad finished our pancakes before the girls finished theirs so we decided to begin to open their toys seeing as there was a lot of packaging.
'Okay you can play with your toys for a while whilst we get ready then it's time to get ready and go see nanny.' I told them as they sat down with their toys scattered in front of them.
'I'll watch them while you get ready.' Brad said as he came in and wrapped his arms around me.
I kissed him in response, thankful that we got to celebrate this year; together.
'Yuck!' Layla shouted from the ground.
'Wuck!' Bella copied causing us to chuckle.
