Sweet Creature
Chapter 2
Taliyah didn't spend too much time getting used to the 21st century. There wasn't enough of it, with Katherine and a couple of baby vampires, witches and humans along with Mikael trying to kill Klaus. But she did get herself a nice house for the time being, mostly because she still needed to stay in the shadows, and keep away from everyone.
Of course that didn't mean that she wasn't going to spy on them, and try to see who she's going up against, she liked to know her enemies. Though it did hurt that she couldn't step forward to Rebekah, she missed her terribly, she hadn't seen her in so long, longer than Klaus, longer than Elijah.
Getting a hold of Katherine wasn't so hard, and once she did find her, she wrote a note telling her when to meet and where. If she was going to stop Klaus from getting killed she would need help from the inside, and who better than the person who looks out only for herself.
So here she was sitting in the kitchen of the house she was staying at waiting for the younger vampire. She looked around with a frown, everything was new to her, nothing even resembled the last time she was alive. People had all these things, they had power, and running water, everything was so advanced.
She had learned about the fridge, it was a big ice box, it kept food fresh, there was also a stove, that she remembered, but these ones were completely different so she stayed away. And of course she learned about the TV, the magical box, or whatever it was, she didn't like it one bit, there was something special about reading a book or watching a play, nowadays everything was so simplified and at a hands reach.
Suddenly a ringing noise brought her back and she knew it was Katherine, so she stood up and made her way to the front door, as soon as she opened it she saw the brunette with an annoying look on her face.
"I hope you know that I'm missing Keeping up with the Kardashians" She said as she stepped inside the house, "Also, brought you coffee, didn't know which one you liked so it only has milk in it"
"The what?" Taliyah asked confused as she closed the door quickly and turned around just in time to take the cup of steaming liquid, "Um thank you"
"So what can I help you with today?" Katherine asked ignoring her question, of course she wouldn't know what it was.
"Well I need you to tell me about supernatural side of this town" She answered as she lead them to the living room.
"Supernatural side, where do I begin?" Katherine joked, but told her everything she knew, from the founding of Mystic Falls, to Elena, Klaus and Salvatore fiasco, not missing to mention the others supernatural beings, like Bonnie, and Caroline, and Taylor.
"Who would have thought that such a small town like this one has so many problems" Now it was Taliyah's turn to joke, before getting serious. "So these Salvatore brothers both love Elena?"
"Yes"
"My god they are just like Niklaus and Ellijah" She muttered, "So from what I understand this whole towns supernatural life is revolving around Elena Gilbert?"
"Yes, but I don't understand why, she is too whiney sometimes"
"Like you where?" Taliyah countered, "Never mind her, she is a mere human, she can't do much damage. So about these Salvatore brothers, Damon is ruled by his love of Elena, and Stefan is currently emotionless, and under Klaus's compulsion?"
"That's right, you know sometimes he's much better like that, he was such a brooding guy"
"I can imagine, but anyway, that is actually perfect, he will definitely be the weak link in your plan" Taliyah explained.
"Wait, did you bring me here so you could ruin the plan?"
"Why else, Katherine you must understand that your plan has to fail"
"Why?"
"Because if you succeed, all of you will die"
"Excuse me?" Katherine said confused "What do you mean we will all die?" Katherine asked once more while rasing her voice, but as soon as Taliyah growled the younger brunette cowered down.
"Original vampire and their whole sired line are linked, if you kill an original..." She started.
"You kill the entire line" Katherine whispered.
"There you have it" Taliyah said as she clapped her hands together.
"But wait, I never heard of anything like that, why would you tell me that?" Katherine asked.
"Why wouldn't I?" Taliyah questioned back, "It would be such a shame to watch you die after spending five hundred years running away" She explained.
"You could still easily tell all of that to the Scooby gang and they would stop?" Katherine countered.
"If you are talking about the group with suicidal tendencies then I guess you are right, but where's the fun in that, there is something special in watching plans fall apart right in front of them. Plus the less people know about this, the better"
"Alright, but what's in it for me?" Katherine questioned.
"Oh well, I guess that if you help me I could talk to Klaus and persuade him that killing you isn't necessary" Taliyah bargained.
"What do I need to do?" The younger vampire asked making a grin come onto Taliyah's.
"Nothing much, I just need you to tell me their plan, and when the day comes I'll need you to make some kind of a distraction at the right time and that's all really" She explained.
"It couldn't be that easy" Katherine said in disbelief.
"Katherine, Katherine, you should know that best plans aren't those that are planned to perfections, but the ones you come up while on the run, of course it won't be that simple, but it's just the begging, leave the rest to me"
"Whatever you say" Katherine said bored as she stood up, "I have to go now before they grow even more suspicious about me, you know how that is"
"Alright, off you go then" She said and watched her carefully, just as Katherine got the hold of the door she stopped her, "Oh and Katherine, you should do well to remember that I don't take kindly to traitors, and that's one of the things Klaus learned from me" She said calmly with a sweet smile on her face.
Katherine nodded, she didn't want to show it but Taliyah could be extremely scarry when she wanted to, so she quickly left to go back to the Boarding house, thinking of what to say along the way.
To many who know her, or knew her Taliyah was just like a puzzle, everything she did, or thought, were like a little pieces creating who she was. She was a mystery never letting out too much, rarely stepping out of the line, but one thing she made everyone know is that there isn't anything she wouldn't do for her family, they were all she had left anyway.
