Chapter 8- Together Again

Mikan bolts up, startling everyone in the room. Her eyes are wide and frantic as she looks around, "What happened?! Where's Natsume, Nee-chan and Akako-chan!" Hotaru walks up to Mikan and coaxes her to lay down.

"Calm down, Mikan. The incident has settled down, you're back at the academy." At those words, Mikan sighs in relief. Narumi steps forward and begins to explain, "Natsume-kun blew up that place out of anger. Fortunately, Mia was able to protect you guys by putting all of you in a water carriage."

Mikan looks at the Sensei in worry, "Then is she alright? Where is she?" Narumi smiles softly at Mikan, "Mia-chan is fine. Although she took the most damage out of the three of you, she has yet to wake up." Narumi looks down at the ground as guilt floods through him because of what's happened, "I'm sorry, Mikan-chan. If Sensei had gotten there sooner..."

"It's okay, Sensei. I'm sure Nee-chan is very grateful towards Sensei, even though she doesn't show it a lot, she cares very much for her loved ones." Mikan beams at the teacher.

Narumi stares at the brunette in awe before smiling at her, "And I have a gift from one of our scariest teachers." Mikan looks at him in confusion as he holds out his hand, revealing a golden star.

Mikan takes the star in disbelief before hopping out of the bed in glee, "I need to go show the others!" She smiles and runs towards the door and runs down the hall to where Natsume's room is. She peeks in and sees him resting but decides to not bother him.

Mikan is soon released from the hospital and is told that she can go back to class in a few days. After nagging Narumi, Mikan was led to Mia's room where she found Sawako by her sister's side. Mikan walks up to Mia's other side and smiles down at her older sister that's still asleep, today marks the fourth day since they returned to the academy. Natsume thankfully woke up yesterday, making everyone a little less stressed.

Sawa looks over at Mikan before smiling, "You're doing better. Yogata! I've been worried for you and Mia."

Mikan goes over and hugs Sawa, surprising the girl, "Sawako-chan, thank you for being friends with Nee-chan." Sawa pulls away and smiles at Mikan, "I should be thanking Mia for being friends with me."

Everyone else soon files in to Mia's room as they await the girl's awake. They all make themselves comfortable in the room, Mikan sitting on the chair next to the bed while Sawa sits on the bed next to Mia. Ruka, Sumire, Hotaru, and Narumi all sit on the couch that's in the room, but eventually fall asleep after a long time.

Sawa and Mikan are still sitting in their spots, staring at Mia and sometimes getting lost in their thoughts. Sawa's head snaps towards Mia when she hears a low groan, "Mia?" She asks, and jumps off of the bed when she sees Mia's face scrunch up in pain. Seconds after that, Mia slowly opens her eyes, revealing her warm hazel eyes. "Mia!" Sawa exclaims in joy at her friends consciousness.

At Sawa's revelation, Mikan jumps from her seat as if it were on fire and runs to hug her sister, "Nee-chan! Nee-chan is awake!" Mikan cheers while hugging her older sister who winces in pain. "Ah! Gomene, Nee-chan!" Mikan gets off of Mia, realizing that her older sister was still in pain.

Mia shakes her head, before asking Mikan to help her sit up. The younger Sakura does as she's asked and watches as her older sister scans the room, a small smile coming to her face. Sawako and Mikan then begin to tell Mia all of the events that took place, about how Natsume blew up the warehouses in rage and how Reo and them escaped.

"And look, Nee-chan! I'm a single star!" Mikan exclaims as she proudly shows her star to her older sister. Mia smiles and congratulates her younger sister but is surprised when Sawako holds out a star to her as well. "What is this?" Mia asks while looking at her friend's hand in utter confusion. "Mia, you've been upgraded to a triple star!" Sawako smiles at Mia and drops the star into her palm.
