Chapter 14

Aero's POV

When the knock came at my door and I had them enter hope bloomed in my eyes when I say Ty.

"They just spotted a dragon by the entrance to the castle." He said out of breath like he had run a marathon.

My eyes widen and I took off towards the entrance with Ty right behind me. What I saw had me nearly growling with anger but at the same time I wanted to cry from seeing Rebel in the state she was in. "Ty get Tessa and meet me in the infirmary, now!" I shouted as Ty took off to find his mate.

I approached Drago who saw me and started crying, "Miss Rebel is hurt, I tried to save her but I couldn't shift. When I did the bad man had bit her and hurt her. I'm sorry I was too late." He cried as I took her from his arms.

"It's ok Drago you saved her and brought her back to me that's all that matters. Come let's get her healed up." I said as I took my broken and bruised mate to Tessa.

Once we made it to the infirmary Tessa immediately stared making a potion as she assessed her wounds. When I saw what he had done to her body I about lost it. Ty had to drag me out with Kyle's help and lock me in an empty room. I began smashing and destroying everything I could as the image of Rebel laying there with bite marks, scratches, bruises and 'Feral Queen' carved into her beautiful stomach.

By the time I had let all my anger out the room was completely destroyed and my hands were bruised and bloody. "Aero, she's awake and asking for you." Tessa said softly from the other side of the door. I ripped the door open and about ran to her room before Tessa stopped me.

"Listen I know you want to see her but I need to tell you a few things and I need you to remain calm. First off I gave her a potion that should heal her within the hour and all of her scars should disappear. Secondly she needs to rest she has been tortured for a week straight and he barely fed her while she was there. Lastly it seems he did try and mark her..." a vicious growl ripped from my throat when I heard that and Ty actually punched me when I growled at his mate.

"Shut up and let her finish and don't ever growl at my mate again." He said and as much as I wanted to rip him to pieces I took a few deep breaths and calmed my wolf.

"Ok well his mark should fade within the next few hours as it was against her will. Since you two are in the process of soul binding and he tried to mark her without her consent it basically caused him a significant amount of pain eventually making him pass out. She is going to need time emotionally as well as physically to get past this. So please be patient with her." She said and I felt my heart break. She was so beaten and broken and here I am throwing a fit at what that man did to her. I could only nod my head as she stepped out of the way and let me in her room.

When I walked in Rebel jumped ever so slightly but once her eyes met mine I saw her relax. Before I could take two steps she launched herself at me and clung to me like a damn spider monkey. I would've laughed if it wasn't for the situation. She held onto me for dear life as she cried in my arms. "Shh Amore, you are safe and I am here. I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you better or even find you sooner." I whispered to her as I stroked her hair.

"Don't be I'm sorry I couldn't fight him off me, if it wasn't for Drago I don't know what would've happened." She sobbed into me.

I sat on the bed with her and I pulled her back so I could look into her bright blue eyes. "Don't you ever apologize for what happened to you. I know you did everything you could to stop this from happening to you. You are not to blame and never will be. You are a beautiful and strong woman and I am lucky to have you as my mate." I told her as she laid her face against my hand.

She then shocked my by leaning in and kissing me hard. I started kissing her back just as passionately until things started heating up. She reached for my pants and I pulled away and stopped her. "Rebel you've been through a lot we don't need to do this anytime soon." I told her and she looked so broken.
