Artemis Fowl: The New Secret

Human's have magic and Artemis needs a break

So I know a lot of people probably don't read the black things at the bottom so here is this: It's technically the same story as I have written before, but instead Harry is in first year. I don't have any excuse except I sort of forgot which way I was going with it sorry.... now onto the story.

Artemis was in Britain because his mother wanted to take his little brothers to London. That was the reason he would tell people. The real reason was because there have been strange sightings of magic here and Foaly has asked him to help Holly. Sadly he couldn't find an excuse to not go to the zoo. So here he was in a zoo with Beckett, Myles, his mother, Holly (because she had nothing better to do), and Butler. Who was looking at a viper.

He noticed a chubby boy who was tapping on the glass to a boa constrictor. He felt slightly bad for the snake, but rolled his eyes. Despite looking the same age as the boy he was actually technically an adult. Despite missing 3 years of his life.

It reminded him of what Foaly had told him when he first came to conscious after the whole Opal mess. "Sorry Artemis, but now you are technically a fairy. You have fairy magic and you won't age as fast as a human anymore.... also... you look like you're ten or eleven because that's as old as I could make you"

He didn't feel like it was Foaly's fault. He knew it was his. He knew the risk and still took it. He looked back at the exhibit to see the chubby boy was replaced with a small black haired boy. If Artemis was right it seemed the boy was.... talking to the animal. He glanced at Holly and noticed she was watching him to. Holly swiftly walked over to him.

"The boy, I think I read about him, you need to see if he has a scare on his forehead" She pointed at the boy.

"You are going to explain it to me after" He watched Holly nod. He faced the boy and started to take steps towards him before he noticed the chubby boy came back and pushed the boy away.

"LOOK HARRY GOT THE SNAKE TO MOVE!" The boy yelled. Artemis had to ignore the urge to cover his ears. He noticed the boy- now dubbed Harry was on the floor as if he was pushed. Artemis started walking towards Harry when the glass disappeared to the exhibit the chubby kid was pressing his face to. The boy fell into the exhibit as the snake slithered out and seemed to nod to the boy. Artemis was taking quicker steps towards Harry. Harry seemed to notice and was watching Artemis. Artemis was just about to say hello when a whale of a man grabs Harry's hand and drags him off. Artemis watches them leave with a sigh. He looked back at Holly who seemed disappointed. He sighed, he would meet Harry again.

A few days later, Artemis was reading a book when he heard the sounds of a bird. He looks up from his book about a theory on time travel to look at Holly who was across from him. She seemed as surprised as he did. He went towards the window to see an owl with two letters. If that was not strange then the fact that an owl was out in the day time would be enough for most people. But then again this was Artemis. He noted it was a Japanese scops owl or a otus semitorques. Which are normally only found in Russia, China, and Japan.

He looked back at Holly. She shrugged and reached for her pistols. Butler had went to go with Artemis' mother and his brothers. They were going shopping and Butler trusted Holly enough to let her protect Artemis. Artemis took quick steps towards the window. His eyes scanned the owl for any small devices. After checking with his eyes and finding no obvious ones he pried open the window. The owl swooped in and dropped the letters before going to one of the shelves and apparently resting. Holly reached for one letter and flipped it. She stared at her name is cursive English ink, not only that but it had her place to the very room.

She grabbed the other and glanced at the ink. She tossed it to Artemis who caught it and looked at the ink.

"This is highly suspicious, Holly. These letters know exactly where we are which means someone must be watching us. Or their is a bomb in these envelopes. But they are too thin to hold a bomb. But the only possible option is that they are fairy made, but if it was fairy made then it probably has already gone off and" Artemis stopped and sighed "I am considered their little sibling that was human"

"Let's just open it so you can stop having that mini heart attack of yours" Holly opened her letter and pulled out the two pieces of paper. Her eyes shined with surprise. "Arty, I think you should open it"

"Holly, how many times have I said that my name is Artemis"

"265 times. Now just open it"

Artemis sighed as he opened the letter and looked at the papers.

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.
Term begins on 1 September. We await your owl by no later than 31 July.

Artemis turned to look at Holly only to see she was reading the next page so he agreed to do it also.

HOGWARTS SCHOOL of WITCHCRAFT and WIZARDRY

UNIFORM
First-year students will require:
1. Three sets of plain work robes (black)
2. One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear
3. One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar)
4. One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings)

"Is this a joke?" Artemis took a few seconds to lets this sink in. He turned to look at Holly. She shook her head.

"No, the Wizarding community has been around for ages, but since their disrespect to other magical creatures we were hesitant to reveal ourselves" She set the letter down on the table and tapped the glass on her watch. A holographic screen appeared. She typed a few things in and a ringtone started drifting through the quiet room.

"So humans actually have magic. You guys were just hesitant in telling me probably because you think I would try and take it over"

"....We didn't have a clear read on your personality. We thought you were a greedy brat with a huge stroke of luck. Then the whole Opal thing" The call finally got through and Foaly appeared. "Foaly, apparently we got accepted to go to Hogwarts"

Foaly just seemed to stare for a while. "What? You aren't even wizards. Neither of you"
