I awaken to the forest being disturbed by soldiers running through.
"Where is he?!" Soldier 1 exclaims to his ally.
"Unknown sir!" Said lackey 1. I chuckle quietly to myself knowing they were looking for me. I sneak away and back to the city. I slip into the castle and approach the doors to the throne room. I open them and announce.
"I hear you're looking for me your majesty?!"
"Shield Hero!" He bellows, "I had suspicions but.. But THIS!!!!!"
"I assure you mi'lord I haven't the slightest clue what thy is speaking of." I say with the most innocent confused face I can muster.
"You mean you don't remember taking advantage of Myne?!!!!" He bellows.
"Mi'lord!!" I exclaim in shock, "It sickens me to think of such a thing, I would have hung myself from the city walls if I had done that!!!" I exclaim with disgust towards the thought. "Beside Mi'lord, I slept in a willow grove outside of the city last night. Alone." I disclose, Mynes eyes widen as she assumed I had came back to the inn and not gone through with staying out in the forest.
"Now that you mention it," Stated Ren, "He never did come back to the inn, I stayed up to ask him about his fighting style but he didn't show."
"You too?" Asked Kizuna in his dark mysterious way.
"It is obvious some sort of mistake has happened." The king said with a tone that almost sounded like, is that regret? INCONCEIVABLE!!!!
"No problem Mi'lord, I am just glad the issue was cleared up I will even offer my services to help find the fiend that harmed the Loquela angelica Myne." I say bowing, it killing me a little on the inside calling Myne Angelic and to be so respectful to the king. Because while he still treated me better I still felt his hate for me flowing off of him in waves..
"What does that mean?" Asked the king, suspiciously.
"Loquela angelica? It means Angelic Mi'Lord." I answer. I internally celebrate a victory, Shield Hero 1 Myne 0.
"Now, if I may be excused I must form my party on my own." I request my leave. 'Time to make like a leaf and leave' I think to myself. And with that I walk out into the city
