"You can't just go around turning teenagers into werewolves!" I screamed at Derek. My voice was starting to hurt, we had been yelling at each other for the past twenty minutes. It started with just a casual conversation about what I wanted for breakfast then, I brought it up. He immediately got defensive and said that he was 'doing the right thing by them', then I kinda lost it...
"I can if they're willing!" He yelled back, for the tenth time. No matter what I say, he's not going to change his mind... Doesn't mean I can't try though.
"Isaac Lahey is an innocent guy who doesn't deserve to be dragged into this life! His life is sh*t already, okay? He doesn't need you f*cking up his life any more than it already is!" Derek looked somewhat regretful, probably knowing what I was talking about, but just in case he didn't, I was going to let him know. "His Dad beats him, D," I said in a more quiet tone, my voice scratchy as hell.
"I know that! This way he can learn to defend himself!" Derek shouted, losing that look of regret he had only moments ago.
"No! This is a way for him to become a murderer!" I needed Derek to know what he was doing. He could potentially be turning a kid into a killer. Isaac isn't a killer. He's a nice guy who doesn't deserve this.
"I-" Derek was about to respond but stopped, looking down at the ground and sighing. "You're right."
"Damn right I'm right! And another thing-" I paused my up coming rant. "Wait did you just say that I was right?"
"Yes. You are. I shouldn't turn f*cked up teenagers into killers. That's not what I'm doing though." There it is. "I'm turning a damaged kid into a soldier. A warrior. A protector."
"A soldier? That's what you're doing? Turning kids into werewolves so you can go to war with the Argents? I remember a story that Mom once told us, about a brother and sister who went to war with hunters, and lost. Do you remember that story?" I asked him.
"You can't always play the Mom card, Alexis. That's not fair and you know it!" He yelled back at me, his claws growing, and eyes starting the flash red. He was angry, and I was getting scared. He's an Alpha, I'm only a beta, but I can take him. Maybe. Possibly. Oh who am I kidding, he would crush me like a bug.
"I'm not afraid of you Derek. You won't hurt me." I put my hands behind my back and slowly started to grow my claws. I kept my eyes their deep forest green so as to show that I wasn't scared, even though I was low-key sh*ting myself.
"You should be. I'm an Alpha remember?" He smirked, pearly white fangs showing.
"Yeah, I remember, but you're not mine." I replied, shaking my head showing disappointment in my brother. Looking at what he has become, that's not my brother, and I don't like this person.
"Who is yours then Alex? Oh... that's right, ha, you don't have one."
"That means no one can tell me what to do, no one can push my around and no one can force me to do stuff that I don't want to do!" That was the edge for Derek. He lunged at me and clawed across my face, leaving a mark. He was on top of me and went to put me in a choke hold, I head butted him in the nose, causing him to bleed and probably break his nose then he rolled off of me with a shout. I kipped up and went full wolf. He jumped up on the table near us and roared his Alpha roar at me, I retreated with a whimper. I couldn't help it, I had to submit even if he wasn't my Alpha, but I didn't have to stay down. I got back up from my position with a roar of my own and charged at him, I tackled him to the ground and started punching him in the face, he's starting to go unconscious, so I stop, not wanting to hurt him too bad. He took the opportunity to flip me on my back and pin me to the ground. I started struggling, trying desperately to get out of his death grip but he punched me with a lot of force right in the neck. I gasped for breath and stopped struggling as I coughed. Once I had stopped coughing and started breathing properly again, we stared at each other, fight in our identical eyes, breathing heavily.
