Seventeen

I crack my eyes open, blinking out the sleep. I was in the hospital and relief flooded through me. It was over.
I scan the room. Mom was asleep next to my bed. Jacob was asleep on the couch at the end of the room. Neikyler was on the other side of my bed and dad was pacing the room.
'Dad' Neikyler smiles. 'Are you ok?' She asks me as Dad rushes over.
I nod 'Just sore' i wince. 'How bad was it?'
'You lost alot of blood' Dad says 'We thought we lost you too' his eyes well with tears.
'Im ok' i assure him. I take my mothers hand and give it a squeeze, waking her.
She jumps up 'Baby' she says in relief. Years run down her face and despite the pain, i pull her into me.
'Im fine' i promise her 'Im alive'
'I was so scared' she sobs against me. Jacob was awake now too and for a moment we just made eye contact. Relief and love was written on his face. I was relieved too.
'Dylan killed Codi' i tell them. 'He shot a tyre out on thay truck making him crash'
'Oh my god' mom cries some more.
I try not to show the pain but Dad seen it. 'Honey' he rubs moms back 'You can hold her later when she isnt in pain'
'Oh' she gasps jumping off me 'Im sorry baby'
'Its ok' i tell her. 'Wheres Dakota? Is she ok?' I ask
'She went home a few hours ago to shower and sleep' Jacob tells me. He gets up and comes over. 'Ill leave you guys alone' he kisses my head.
'Love you' i say.
'I love you too' he tells me. 'Ill be out here' i nod and he leaves the room.
After half an hour they all leave and give Jacob and i some time alone.
He comes over and presses his forehead on mine.
'You scared us all baby' he whispers.
'I know' i tell him 'I thought i was going to die'
'You nearly did' he tells me 'You risked your life to save me and your uncles'
'I did' i nod 'You guys have risked your lives for me every day'
'You had been stabbed, on deayhs door step and you still dragged me out of there'
'Of course i did' i laugh 'I love you and i would do it again'
Jacob brings his mouth to mine and i savour the kiss.

Three months and i was healed. The scare of my possible death changed mom. She was back. She still cries for Codi but shes my mom again and i was greatful.
Neikyler and i have even gotten closer.
I was thankful that this was over. Dylan is dead and no one is trying to kill us. It felt amazing to be at home alone right now and i still dont think im used to it.
Jacob and i have gotten stronger and Dakota has even found herself a new man, that isnt in a biker club.
Finally, my life was perfect again. I was in love, my family was healing, my mother smiles now and no one is trying to kill us.
