Well... that happened. After grabbing my bags and finishing up the shopping I process in my head what had happened. Why did he collapse? Is something wrong? When he was on the floor I feared he was actually dying! I mean he's a Steve. He's not from this world! Basically I'm harbouring a real life alien! I thought he wasn't stable enough to live here and was running out of time. What if that's what's going on! No. It's okay. He's strong right? He should be fine. But wait by strong doesn't that mean he had a lot of energy before? What if that's bad! Oh boy... Elan just calm down okay? He's fine... he's fine. Maybe it is the arm..
I collect some other things I forgot on the list. Hair products was one of them, but if Elemental Ste- Elliot is going to stay for a while I need some supplies for him too. I grab some more food, that baby thermometer I promised myself, a brush, toothpaste, brush and comb, some bandages so I can wrap his arm, and anything else he could need. Hopefully I don't run out of money.
On my way to the cashier I check around the clothing section for anything Elliot's possible size. There isn't a lot, but I find a nice grey sweater with a green stripe across it. This could hide his arm more. I also find a green beanie and some brown shoes that have a refund discount. I think he'll like these.
I head back to the cashier and it's the same woman from earlier. The one that held my groceries.
"So is he okay?" She asks looking mildly distressed.
"He should be," I answer a little unsure, "I'm bringing him home and letting him rest. I also got bandages to treat that arm in case you're wondering."
"Right well, I hope he gets better."
"Thanks... me too."***
Back at the car I find Elliot sleeping. He didn't even bother turning something on. When I see him at first I think he's dead again, until I notice his chest go up and down. I sigh in relief. He really needs to stop scaring me!
I shove the groceries into the trunk along with his new clothes. Then I get in and start the car carefully, hoping he isn't a light sleeper. He seems to be pretty out of it though. On the highway I can't stop glancing at his arm. It looks like it's gotten worse! Falling on it must have broken the blisters. It must sting bad. Though that couldn't have been the reason he fell. It's just a large burn. He did have I nightmare last night... and he also said he hasn't slept for days. He must be sleep deprived! Okay. I'm going to confirm it with him when we get home, and when I bandage the arm finally. His other cuts seem to have healed last I saw. The scrape from falling on the road seemed to scab along with his hands during the impact. So really I only have one job to do.

"Finally home," I mutter quietly unlocking the car doors. Stepping out I tread over to the other side and swing the car door to Elemental Steve open. I can call him that now that we're home. "Wakey wakey Elemental Steve..." I nudge him.
Not a second later he yawns, "oh... hello Elan..."
"You can call me Sabre Elemental Steve. We're home," I calmly speak.
"Okay..." he yawns again.
"Could you come out and help me with the groceries?"
"Sure Sabre," he's drowsy, but he wobbles out and makes his way to the trunk as I instruct him there. Then I pop the trunk open and hand him a bag.
"Don't use your bad arm. I'm worried you'll pull it bad."
"But is doesn't hurt," He protests.
"Really?" I say surprised.
"Well not often."
"Well alright. If you say so. Here," I hand him a bag. He takes it slowly but before I let go I let him test it by making my arm go limp once he has a grip. As much as he tries not to show it, it's obvious it stung his arm as he makes a faint gasp of pain. I take it back, "ya I don't think that arm's good. Too much pressure and I think you'll crack the scar."
"I... I thought it wouldn't..." he tries to defend.
"Hey it's okay man," I reassure. "There's nothing wrong about this. We just need to watch that arm. I bought something that would help the arm. That is if you don't mind me using it after we put all this away."
He was hesitant, but he agreed, "sure."
"Great. Now let's put these groceries inside."
