"So this bitch really left us?!" Jeff said chuckling
"You see it don't it !" I laughed
"See this is why I take my own shit I don't have time for bullshit like this" Jeff complained
"I heard that shit! We just gonna have to give her some time you know she's hormonal."
"Yeah whatever..."
We took an Uber to Jeff's gma house to get Mulan. She lived in a small but cute little brick house outside of the city.
"Hey Granny Baby !!" Jeff yelled coming into the house.
"Shhhhhh!! The baby is sleeping Jeffrey! Give me a hug."
"Sorry sorry." He said bending down to give her a hug.
"Hello Mrs.Swanson. I hope she didn't give you any trouble."
"No no but ..... umm ... she seems very sad. Very very sad. She doesn't smile much. I've tried almost everything to get her to laugh but nothing works. She did eat. She ate a lot actually."
"She's been like that since her daddy passed a couple of months ago. It's been hard." I explained
"It'll get better with time sugar." Mrs.Swanson said collecting Mulan's bags.

We pulled up back to the house. I really started to hate being here. It just reminds me of Akeem and how he's gone now. I instantly start to get sick to my stomach. Ugh.
"Wtf Rash ass doing here ?!" Jeff yelled snapping me out of my daze.
"Here's been around a lot lately since Akeem's passing he's been helping out."
"Helping out with what Riley ? You don't need his help I'm here. I don't trust that shii I smell some bullshit going on."
"Calm down you're too damn dramatic for me" I said pulling Mulan out of the Uber.
Rash jumped out of his truck meeting us at the front door.
"Hey Rash"
"Sup Ma" he said embracing me into a hug
"HELLO" Jeff said sternly
Rash simply nodded his head to Jeff.
"What brings you here?" I asked
"Yeah. What brings you here?!" Jeff butted in
Rash gave Jeff a confused look but ignored him.
"I just dropped by to check on you guys."
I opened the door to the house.
"Well come in"
"Rash I sent off for Akeem's death certificate and I haven't received it yet."
"Umm idk that's crazy."
"I know."
"Well im going to sell the house I need a fresh start I think Mulan does too."
"I think that's a good idea... I know a couple of realtors..."
"No need she has mwa !" Jeff cut him off
"Don't You Have somewhere to be ?!" Rash asked him
"I'm here!" Jeff snatched his neck
"Y'all chill!" I said
"Better tell him" Rash said
Rash walked up to me for closely
"Call me if you need me" Rash whispered in my ear
He den walked out of the Foyer.
"Wtf that nigga all in your bubble and shii. I think he digging on you Riley and that's some snake as shit. He been waiting on this shit to happen." Jeff complained
"You think so bitch?!"
"I know fucking so bitch." Jeff rolled his eyes

I sat on the couch watching Mulan throwing a fit over nothing. A tear fell from my eye .
It's Akeem I know that's what it is. I thought to myself
Mulan's cries had gotten louder and louder until her voice started to get hoarse.
"Let's take a hot bath MuMu." I said picking her up off the floor
I walked upstairs into the bathroom.
"We sat in the huge marble tub together I played with Mulan toes making her giggle. That was the most I had seen her laugh.
I picked up my phone and scrolled through pictures of Akeem, Mulan, and I. Seeing his face and our videos had me choked up.
"You miss Daddy MuMu?"
Mulan placed her chubby finger on the phone pointing at Akeem. She placed a kiss on the phone.
I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. I missed my man and now he was gone forever ! Shit was so unfair.

I put Mulan down to bed. I needed something to get the edge off. I went into the kitchen and poured up some wine I had from a couple days ago.
I turned on the stereo to erase my thoughts.
"A rainy night in Georgia" played loudly on my stereo

The song reminded me of the times with my grandma. She would sing this song and sipped her vodka. I loved her voice.
I got lost in my thoughts before I knew it the bottle of wine was gone. I went back into the fridge and to my surprise there was another bottle.
I smiled so hard. Tonight was starting to look up.

Before the night ended I was tore the fuck up !
