Elle

The rest of the week goes by pretty fast and before I know it, it's Friday and we are sitting in Lea's room getting ready.

"I have a surprise for you." Lea sings in that high pitched voice which means I'm not going to like it.

"Here." I'm siting cross legged in front of her long mirror straightening my hair when she tosses a pair of cowboy boots at me.

"Lea no..." I look up at her to see her placing a pink cowboy hat on top of her perfectly curled hair.

"Giddy up cowgirl! We're going to the rodeo!"

"You know I hate western!"

"Well get over it. It's Friday night and this is the theme!" She shimmies out of her basketball shorts and t-shirt, joining me on the floor as she does her makeup. About one hour later we are tip toeing through her house with our boots in our hands to make sure her family is asleep before sneaking out of her window.

I decided to hell with it and wore Lea's cowboy boots and my blue jean shorts, with one of her red flannel shirts tied just above my belly button and a brown cowboy hat. Lea was wearing a white tank top with a blue Jean skirt and of course her pink cowboy hat with matching boots.

We get into Jacobs truck and drive for a few minutes before pulling into what looks like an abandoned building.

"Lea I am NOT getting off here."

"Come on scaredy cat, I've been here plenty of times. The inside looks better I promise." She hops out of the truck and I follow nervously.

"Wait a minute." She turns around and looks me over before she grabs onto the belt loops of my shorts and pulls them up slightly.

"What are you doing?" I ask frantically when I feel them ride up my thighs. The fretted material at the bottom of my shorts rests right under my butt now.

"You have to wear them like that, it's how they
go." She smacks my behind before pulling me by my arm before she opens the creepy metal door.

As soon as the door shuts behind us I hear country music and smell alcohol and cigarettes. The bar is along the whole right wall of the bar and the left side has tables and a dance floor with a juke box. Over the bar on the right there's a neon flashing like that says The Spot. There's only about ten people here and I raise my eyebrow over at Lea.

"Leanne Carter, this looks worse than Bobby's" She scrunches her eyebrows together and doesn't get to say a word because she's interrupted by some asshole at the bar who starts cat calling us.

"Ignore him." Lea grabs my arm and pulls me to the other end of the bar.

"Hey baby!" Rude asshole guy yells at us and licks his lips suggestively.

"Gross. Lea I don't know about this." My stomach gets a funny feeling and I feel nauseous.

"Trust me, it's okay. Yo Andy!" Lea leans over the bar and waves over the bartender who looks to be a little bit older than us. This guy looks sketchy as fuck.

"Stop calling me that, but look what the cat dragged in. How you doing Leanne?" He swings a red dish rag over his shoulder and smirks at her.

She definitely fucked him.

"Don't use my full name in public." She glares at him and he chuckles before looking over at me with his creepy eyes.

"Not going to introduce me?" Lea introduces us before ordering two drinks for us.

"Coming right up darling, and it's nice to meet you." He nods at me before placing two blue bottles in front of us.

"Tell Jacob to call me when you talk to him alright?" He winks at her and she scoffs.

"Yeah right, if my brother knew I was here he would kill me, you're on your own sugar." She sips her drink and I stare at mine as "Andy" walks down to the other side of the bar.

"So." I look over at a flustered Lea who's just sipping her drink.

"Yeah. A few times." I start laughing as she blushes.

"I knew it." She bursts out laughing with me and I'm still facing the bar when I feel a hand rest on my shoulder.

Damon

I'm in the middle of getting shit-faced when the fucker to my right starts getting loud again. Any time a half decent girl walks in he starts yelling and shouting like she's some top porn star.

I see two female silhouettes to my left but I don't pay attention though I'm guessing it was them he was cat calling.

"Another?" Andrew is here once again refilling my glasses as needed.

"You know me so well." I smile at him and place my chin in my hand.

Yeah I'm pretty drunk.

"No problem coach." He laughs as he pours more of the magical liquid in the mini cup.

"You know I don't coach you any more, you could call me Damon." She shakes his head as I down another shot.

"Just doesn't feel right coach." He pours another shot and I smile at him great fully.

"Yo Andy!" One of the girls from my left yells down the bar and I see Andrew turn and smirk at them.

"That your girl?" I ask, still looking at him with the shot half way to my mouth.

"Not yet sir." I watch him walk down the bar and throw the shot back. I see him talking to a tall girl with a loud hat on, and a prettier shorter girl with a brown cowboy hat on.

Wait... is that?

I rub my eyes and shake my head before looking again. I see Andrew place two blue drinks in front of the two girls before he winks and comes stalking back this way.

I see Elle staring at her drink and talking with her friend before they both start laughing. I sober up fast at the sight of her in a shit hole like this and decide to do something about it.

I look back and see Andrew handling the drunk who likes to cat call so I stand up and make my way over.

I place my hand on her shoulder and they both stop laughing. She turns and her eyes widen when she sees me.

"Ms. Carter, I wasn't expecting to see you here." I cross my arms and she leans back in the bar stool.

The girl she's with laugh and speaks up.

"Ms. Carter? Elle, who is this fine specimen?" She looks me up and down and I move closer to Elle's other side.

"Lea this is..." she looks up at me with pleading eyes, obviously not wanting to say I'm her teacher.

"Damon Russell." I put my hand out for "Lea" to shake and she does without taking her eyes off of me.

"Well Elle I think you better get home now don't you think?"

"BUT Damon," Lea speaks up, "we just got here."

"No Lea, maybe uhm Damon is right. We ought to go."

She looks around nervously which makes me look around. I don't know anyone here. No one here knows me. Andrew is giving away free booze. What's the worst that can happen if she stays?
