Authors note: should I make a schedule to update ? I always update at random times and think maybe I should get more organized. 🤔 if so how often should I update?

Elle

"Hey, you okay?" He places a hand over mine but I pull my hand away. His smile fades but I explain.

"We shouldn't. Not here." I look around and he nods before leaning back in his seat.

The rest of breakfast is more awkward than the first half.  All of a sudden I don't want to be there. I want to be with Ashton again. In his loft. With only the light of the tv bothering us as we talk all night.

"Elle! Are you ready?" My grandma shakes my shoulder and I snap out of my day dream.

"Yeah, sorry." We leave the restaurant and tell Damon goodbye. My grandma asks for his number to which he replies that he doesn't have a phone. I try to hold in my laugh and I say goodbye to him and Emma before we go back to my house.

When I get home the kids are already awake and my mom is already annoyed. Way to spoil a good morning.

"Here. Take Hannah, she won't stop crying!" As soon as I walk into the front door she's shoving Hannah in my arms and I roll my eyes as I take her to my room.

"What's wrong love?" I sit her on my bed and she wipes her eyes as she starts to calm down.

"M-mommy..."

"Mommy what? Hmm?" I grab tissues from my nightstand and wipe her face gently.

"Mommy s-spanked m-me." I can feel myself becoming more angry though I won't let Hannah know I'm mad. I take a deep breath before hugging her to me.

"Where?" She moves her self from my lap and pulls up her dress. A big hand print is covering one side of her leg, there are bruises forming around it.

I nod before laying down with her. It doesn't take long for her to fall asleep since she was crying and tired herself out. Once I'm sure she won't wake up I go to talk to my mom.

I walk into my kitchen to see her sitting there on the phone. She laughing and using her fake voice so I know it's one of her "men". I stand at the entrance to the kitchen with my arms crossed waiting for her to hang up. She sees me and waves me off with her hand but I shake my head. She gives whoever the man is a lame excuse to hang up before she stares at me annoyed.

"What the hell do you want? Can't you see I'm busy?"

"Why did you hit Hannah?" She scoffs before looking away from me.

"It's not like I need your permission to discipline my own kid. She wasn't listening." She shrugs and rolls her eyes like it's no big deal.

"She wasn't listening? Smack her hand! A tap on her fucking bottom! That wasn't just one hit! You left your handprints and bruises on her!" I walk closer to the table as I talk.

"I'm her fucking mom! Not you!" She stands up now and we're face to face.

"Well act like it!" I turn to go check on Hannah but she grabs my arm.

"Hey I'm not done!" I yank my arm out of her grip and she falls back into the chair and starts crying.

I roll my eyes as Rylan walks into the kitchen.

"What happened?" He nods at mom and I say nothing and ask him to go back to his room, he does so and it makes me mom even more mad.

"Stop trying to mother them! They're my kids!" She stands up again and I back away.
