"shit" jaemin mumbled to himself as he glanced cautiously behind him. this man was really persistent. "can't these pedo's take no for an answer" he grumbled to no one in particular
he accelerated his pace, deciding to move in and out of his usual way home but the presence still followed
he began to really panic when the man got closer, almost right on his heels. he could smell the stench of vomit, cigarettes on alcohol on him
a hand grasped his hauling him backwards, bumping into a large belly. it was then when jaemin got scared
he clawed his hand out of the uncomfortable man's grasp and ran forward, he could hear the harsh breaths of the man running after him as he turned the corner
looking behind himself to check if he was still being followed he bumped into another body
ready to apologise but grabbing onto its arm instead
"please help me, that man won't stop following" jaemin begged, looking up to the owner of the arm he was holding onto
a boy, with the most breathtakingly gorgeous face had ever seen looked down at him with a concerned expression
"of course, come with me" the boy spoke, his voice making jaemin focus on his words
nodding and still holding onto the boy he followed him inside the store they were standing outside of
the sound of a bell rang announcing their presence
jaemin hid behind the boy as he watched the red-faced man run right past the shop
jaemin turned back to the boy "thank you so much" gushing his gratefulness
the boy let out a smile, shifting his eyes into crescents
a sight that made jaemin heart perform impossible acrobatics
"no problem, think you should stay here a bit longer. just to make sure it's safe when you leave" he responded
jaemin nodded, looking around the store he was in. flowers of various colours and shapes adorned the room
colourful bouquets stood proudly in the glass display
the aroma of all of them made jaemin scrunch his nose, but he continued to admire the sight nonetheless
" never caught your name"
jaemin hummed, "jaemin, jaemin"
the boy grinned, making his way over to jaemin who was staring at an arrangement of orchids
"i'm jeno" he said, putting out a hand "lee jeno"
jaemin accepted his hand, shaking it shyly "nice to meet you jeno"
